So happy you were able to enjoy your Christmas Eve with such festive joy. Many Flight Attendants would love to be able to do the same with their families… but one person stands in the way of their well deserved contracts… I wonder who? He could be the Grinch or Chris Kringle… your choice Scott Kirby ! “Good Leads the Way” right? Association of Flight Attendants-CWA Sara Nelson

1dThe reality of flying on Xmas Day...my father (LAME QANTAS got Xmas Day Off once every three years) When he worked Xmas Day, often extended 12 hour shifts becoming 14 hour shifts, dealing with stressed pilots and flight attendants, Dad trying to keep aircraft in the air to meet schedules, so mostly obnoxious passengers could keep to their unrealistic expectations, flying around Australia expecting nothing to go wrong! Mustered as Instrument and Electrical the pilots expected Dad to keep all the instruments serviceable and if the passengers were to be served hot tea or hot coffee he kept the power to the galley on to boil the water! Give some thought today to the ground crews keeping you fed, watered and safe in the air on Christmas Day.
