As a Reliability engineer and health advocate, I conceptualize my body as a manufacturing facility. To ensure that this facility can meet daily demands, it is imperative that it remains available and reliable-dependable. It is essential to minimize unnecessary downtime and ensure that all critical systems, particularly those in the Golden Line such as the Brain-DCS, Heart-critical pump, Stomach-process house, lungs-air compressors, etc., are functional. For critical equipment with no standbys where failure could lead to severe consequences, I implement a condition monitoring system that runs on a quarterly basis just to keep pump operating pressure in check as per OEM requirements. I also have a PM plan that runs every other day—jogging/walking—and one that runs every other week—hiking. Proper utilization of stop days and shutdowns—long weekends and holidays to upgrade and reboot my DCS. All of this to say, optimal physical, mental and social well-being are the biggest drivers to work productivity and quality of life.
Congrats, Josh! We're excited to have you join the team.
