Advertising and social media were my gateway into marketing. But, I've since come to appreciate a different part of what we do far more: For me, the best part of marketing is the thought that my work is... - Reaching a human with a need/want - Matching it with my product/service - Which in turn improves their life in some way (even very small ways) Brand. Ads. Social media. It's all important. It's the means of our roles. The manner in which we achieve our goals. But the end... the end with the human somehow benefitting... that's the cool stuff IMO. I hope your day is great ✌️
That is so so awesome and you are doing so well always keep going for you and never ever let anything bring you down at all okay you really are a shining star and a legend as well
The fact that we get to exist in an industry that has the ability to change lives is literally what gets me out of bed every day with a smile on my face
I also think influencing people is a great responsibility, at the forefront there should always be, where possible, an ethical approach to the messaging.
Hear, hear! In my marketing days there was far too much marketing speak (jargon) and not enough human speak.
It’s all about ✨purpose✨
The end with the human somehow benefitting! That's why I truly enjoy following you Joe Glover! Integrity, belonging, learning-unlearning. Your journey and the way you show up in here, showing the good, the bad and everything in between, feels like fresh air!
Joe Glover, your perspective on the human element in marketing is compelling. It emphasizes purpose and connection, essential components of effective strategies. Would you say that emotional engagement plays a crucial role in this process?
Joe agree! This is where purpose comes in I think, especially if you are lucky enough to have humans that are passionate about your brand. :)
The end goal is always to foster and retain that human connection, especially in an industry where people sometimes care more about the marketer than the product itself. A very nice perspective Joe Glover
