I hope all of you had a strong quarter and hit your numbers. 💪 📅 Next week begins Q4 and before it starts, I want you to look at the goals you set for 2024 to see how close you are to being on pace. 📈 📊 Next I want you to decide if your goal is attainable and if it is not adjust your Q4 goal. So moving forward I am going to be having a monthly theme to my email and social media content. 💻 📅 This is why this coming month, September will be all about prospecting! 😎 Happy Tuesday Voluntary Benefit Champions! 😎 🤔 It's Tuesday so it's tip day. Today we are going to talk about changing over from selling to a trusted advisor who creates a buying experience for your prospects. 🤝 👩🎤 People hate being sold, however they like to buy. This feeling makes them feel empowered as a consumer. 👩💼 🤔 So how do you do it? Well in my experience it takes fact and feeling finding coupled with emotion. 🤗 🗣 Instead of asking yes or no questions, ask open ended questions like. "Mr Business Owner, if an employee of your company died yesterday, how comfortable would that employee's familly's standard of living be?". 🤷♂️ 🗣 Follow up that question with a story...one that evokes emotion or paints a picture of the family of an employee suffering financially while grieving if that employee dies, becomes disabled or suffers from a debilitating illness. If you can get a business owner to feel the suffering of an employees family....you're going to have the opportunity to help employees protect their family. 👨👩👦👦 👍 So today let's stop being salespeople and transform into trusted advisors who generate a buying experience. Here is what I recommend: 👩💻 Monday: Post something about voluntary benefits that grabs attention. If you're a leader post about the career opportunity. In these posts include thought provoking questions. 👨💻 Wednesday: It's victory day....every agent should post about a picture, video or text about the quantity and how you helped employees protect their family the previous week. If recruiting post pictures or bulletins illustrating what top producers on your team did. 👩💻 Friday: It's video day. Agents should post a 2 minute video in which an employer, policyholder, claimant or administrator touts voluntary benefits. Leaders can do these or interview an agent on your team. 🤝 So this week let's plan and commit to consistently using social media to increase your online footprint and develop a positive reputation on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Google and other social media platforms! 👏 📣 Let's talk about other social media ideas. Today I'm going to talk about social media and using it for marketing and recruiting purposes. 🤝 👨💻 At the tail end of my voluntary benefits career I finally started utilizing social media to market my agency and to recruit prospective team members. 👩💻 However, before you start posting, you probably need to upgrade your facebook, linkedin and google profiles. Let's look at each and how it should read: 🤝 LinkedIn: This should not look like a resume. It needs language and graphics that reach out grab people. Look at the format I use for ideas. 🙎♀️ Facebook: If you are using your personal profile for business.....STOP! Create a separate profile and again use attention grabbing graphics, pictures, words and emojis. 👩💻 Google: Google yourself and your business. Then create a free google business profile and begin building your online persona. 👨💼 There are other site of course... X, Instagram, SnapChat and TikTok. You can use these for video marketing but if you want to use video look at setting up a YouTube or Vimeo Channel. 📺 🤔 Lastly, folks if you have questions or need help improving your social media footprint....let's talk!
