Small changes, big impact. A logo refresh is a bit different than a new logo design. But it still comes down to addressing the overall goals for the business. The visual implications are just as important to ensure alignment and direction. Jake Anderson at Gravity Web Studio came to me a few weeks ago with a problem: the font didn't align well with the brand persona, the business objectives OR, importantly, the icon component of the logo. The solution: come up with a congruent, balanced, professional and powerful design that speaks to the values of the business, the symbolism within, and that pairs well with the other brands in the client's business portfolio. 🌟 It's amazing what font choice can do. + As I always do, provide horizontal and vertical versions to maintain adaptability and scalability across media. Before and after below. Let me know what you think! #VisualBranding #LogoDesign #BrandIdentity

Sometimes you’re too close to the problem to turn it into a solution🤔 The missing piece of your brand design might actually be you.. But not in the way you’d think!🧩 Why? Because the worst client we'll ever face is ourselves. Sometimes we need to get out of our own way🫸 It's no wonder everything feels chaotic behind the scenes when the foundations are… 🔷Wasted ideas (that are never built upon) 🔷Basic templates (that everyone else uses) 🔷Limited colour palette (with no room to create individual pzazz) 🔷Boring fonts (don’t even get us started on Comic Sans) 🔷No direction (so effectively no goals to aim for). And who could blame you? You’re doing it alone. A strong brand presence helps you stand out from the crowd with cohesive creativity and direction🙌🌈 How do you stand out from the crowd? The Difference Between Good and Bad Design: Why It Matters As a graphic designer, I often hear, "Design is subjective." While that’s true to some extent, there are clear differences between good and bad design—differences that impact functionality, aesthetics, and overall success. 🚫 Bad Design: Overcomplicated – Too much clutter confuses the audience. Inconsistent – Lack of alignment, contrast, or typography can make the design feel disjointed. Lacks Focus – The message gets lost in unnecessary details or unclear visuals. Unintuitive – The user experience becomes frustrating and hard to navigate. ✅ Good Design: Clear & Simple – It communicates the message effectively, without unnecessary elements. Visually Harmonized – Consistent colors, fonts, and spacing guide the eye naturally. Purpose-Driven – Every element serves a function and directs attention where needed. User-Friendly – The design is easy to navigate and understand, enhancing the user’s experience. Good design is more than just looking nice—it’s about creating an intuitive experience that resonates and communicates the right message. It's the difference between a memorable brand and one that gets overlooked. Which side do you want your brand to be on? Let’s work together to ensure it’s on the right side. 💡 #GraphicDesign #DesignMatters #GoodDesign #UserExperience #VisualCommunication #Branding Sk signing off 😍 !!!

🎨 Behind the Design: My Creative Process 🥜 I recently designed this creative as a social media post to promote "Crunchy Peanuts" and wanted to share it here! I followed key graphic design principles to ensure the message is clear and visually appealing: 🔸 Fonts: A bold, cursive style for a friendly and natural vibe. 🔸 Colors: Yellow for energy and gray for balance and modernity. 🔸 Image: A close-up of roasted peanuts to highlight freshness and quality. 🔸 CTA: A bright yellow "Order Now!!!" button to encourage action. 🔸 Background: Subtle textures and peanut visuals to maintain focus on the product. 💡 Why this matters: The goal was to create a clean, balanced design that captures attention, communicates the brand’s values, and performs well across social media platforms. What do you think? 👉 Does the layout work? Are the colors and visuals effective? I’d love your feedback to refine this further! Here are 3 of my go-to habits when I’m working on a project. 🚨 They’re simple but make a massive difference in keeping things consistent and efficient: 1️⃣ Margins on multiple artboards Working with different-sized artboards? Measure the width, divide it by 25, create a square in the top left and bottom right, draw a rectangle between them, and hit Command + 5 to turn it into a guide. Simple, effective, and keeps things looking sharp. 2️⃣ Scaling a vertical lockup For vertical lockups, I copy the wordmark (Command + C, Command + F), rotate it 90 degrees, drop the opacity, and scale the logo up until it fits perfectly. A quick trick for a balanced design. 3️⃣ Font sizing for brand guidelines For font hierarchies in brand guidelines, I start with 12pt for body text and multiply it by 1.618 (golden ratio). It keeps the document flowing and looking polished without overcomplicating things. Design’s all about making the process smoother and the results more impactful. 👉 If you’re a business looking to rebrand, visit nonstopbrandingagency.com 👉 If you’re a designer looking for templates, check out my store: https://lnkd.in/eSDqH2uz P.S. In the world of graphic design, there’s a clear distinction between good and great design. It’s not just about making things “look nice”—it’s about creating visual experiences that connect, communicate, and elevate brands. Here’s what sets them apart: Good Design is effective. It communicates the message clearly, uses appropriate colors and typography, and follows established design principles. Good design is functional, clean, and delivers the basics. Great Design is unforgettable. It goes beyond the fundamentals. Great design tells a story, evokes emotion, and reflects a brand’s personality in ways that resonate with the audience. It’s cohesive, purposeful, and visually captivating. Every element is intentional, and the result isn’t just seen—it’s felt. Great designers don’t just use design to communicate—they use it to engage. They understand the power of design to shape perceptions, create memorable experiences, and drive action. Takeaway: If you want your design to stand out in a crowded market, aim for greatness. It’s not just about making an impact; it’s about making a lasting impression. #GraphicDesign #DesignThinking #CreativeStrategy #Branding #DesignMatters

🖌️Design: It’s not just pushing buttons on Photoshop. It’s crafting experiences. True design isn’t about tools; it’s about strategy, creativity, and purpose. Each font, color, and layout serves a function—communicating a message, evoking emotion, and solving problems. While software like Photoshop and Illustrator are vital, they’re only the means to an end. The real value lies in the designer’s ability to think critically, innovate, and connect brands with their audience. Let’s reshape the narrative: Design is an investment in vision, not just decoration. 👥Tag your favorite designers and celebrate their creative genius! 💬 What’s your take on the value of good design?
