Sadly I dont look like James Bond in a tuxedo but looking forward to the Engage Awards and celebrating all the people who have pushed the boundaries and innovated in CX this year.

Let's continue our search for values with RECOGNITION. Recognition frequently goes unnoticed, yet it plays an integral role in fostering a culture of appreciation in any organisation. It’s about seeing and highlighting the achievements of your team, no matter how small. But recognition isn't just about the workplace. It also applies to our relationships, friendships, and even our interactions with strangers. By acknowledging the efforts that people make, we instil a sense of worth and belonging. Imagine the boost in morale and motivation if we made a habit of recognising even the smallest victories. Start today. Look around you. Recognise, appreciate, and celebrate. Because everyone deserves to feel valued.

In business, we often wait for the big contract or the completion of a major project before celebrating. But what if we shifted our focus and celebrated the process just as much as the end result? Recognizing the small wins along the way not only boosts morale but also builds trust within your team. People appreciate consistent affirmation throughout the journey, not just when the final goal is reached. But here's something to consider: if we celebrate too often, it might come across as insincere. So, how can we celebrate regularly while staying genuine? And what other risks or benefits might come from celebrating the small milestones? I'd love to hear your thoughts! Share your experiences and ideas in the comments.

At our agency, core values aren't just words on the wall (though they are displayed prominently there as well). They are actually a critical part of our agency. We believe in acknowledging them all the time. This is why we integrate our values into every aspect of our operations. From weekly team meetings celebrating each other's achievements to performance reviews that assess alignment with our values, we strive to make them tangible. Celebrate the small wins! Let's be honest, the little tasks and the unnoticed workers are most often the reason for larger successes. Have you sat through a banquet and watched the same people get the same recognition? Have you felt unnoticed? People who are motivated most by these rewards are the workers that know how to best position themselves to achieve. But, does that mean these are the people "carrying" the company? I would bet not. I've learned and experienced moments where small celebrations of small wins dramatically changed the culture of a workplace. Don't believe me? Take Harvard's word for it and read more about celebrating success: https://lnkd.in/d-ZAtXdr

✨ End-of-the-year recognition can either elevate your team or fall flat. Here's the key: genuine appreciation isn’t seasonal. It’s built throughout the year. 🔑 Why It Matters: Employees know when recognition is sincere versus just another checkbox. A strong culture of appreciation all year long makes end-of-year recognition truly meaningful. 🚩 Common Pitfalls to Avoid: 1️⃣ Leaving people out. 2️⃣ Using generic messages. 3️⃣ Only celebrating big achievements. 4️⃣ Ignoring feedback on recognition efforts. ✅ Pro Tip: Recognition isn’t just about a fancy party or expensive gifts—it’s about consistently showing you value your team’s contributions, big and small. Want to create a culture of appreciation in your organization? Let’s talk!

You cannot afford to leave culture to chance. You have to actively engage, cultivate, and work, to create a positive culture. In the case of Enel X UK & Ireland that is a culture built on 4 key operating principles < Humans First < Brave Honesty < Leading Lights < Simple but Significant If you leave culture to chance it will wither and die on the vine. Do not leave it to chance. #Culture #coaching #sustainability #culturecouncil #employeeengagement
