In a recent episode of the Rust in Production podcast, PubNub’s CTO, Stephen Blum, shared how Rust has transformed PubNub’s systems with a 5x boost in memory efficiency and performance. Curious to hear more? Listen to Stephen’s insights and explore Rust’s impact on scalability and stability. 🎧👇
Stephen Blum, CTO of PubNub is calling Rust a multi-billion dollar language. In our conversation in the 'Rust in Production' podcast, Stephen explained why Rust is a game-changer for high-performance, scalable systems: - PubNub saw a 5x boost in both memory efficiency and performance when replacing a Python service with Rust - Rust is now the most popular language at PubNub, with all new services being written in it - Rust's memory safety and near-C performance make it attractive for large-scale, mission-critical systems - The Rust compiler's ability to catch common problems early in development increases overall system stability Direct link to that part of our chat: https://lnkd.in/eiN9TKsP #rustlang #podcast #engineering

I am trying to automate more. This is a small Python Script that transcribes my .mp3 or .wave file to .txt I want to make a script to run that automates a Linkedin Post with a summary of my podcast episode, and a IMG to go along with it. Right now I am using a simple whisper API. But I think I will use PyDub to cut the audiofile to the first couple minutes so I am not wasting resources
