Some rookie errors/learnings from my first few months recruiting permanent roles: ⏱️ Rushing a process - coming from a temp/casual background, I'm used of a very fast paced desk. Pairing this with the Allied Health market, which is very candidate short - I get excited when I find good talent and sometimes can rush things! 😢 Delivering bad news - something I really struggle with is letting people know they have been unsuccessful during interview process. I especially feel guilty when it was a passive candidate! However, I know it's always best to be honest. 🤚 Boundaries - setting clear expectations with clients and candidates on the value of everyone's time and the value add of a specialist recruiter in their market. Often recruiters can have a bad reputation, however we can't all be painted with the same brush. Anyone else have anything that they struggle with? 📩 jlyons@andersenpartnership.com 📞 0458584902
Great post! Very self aware Jojo 👏 . I struggle with patience which can sometimes go against me..
This is such a good post! I have never seen a recruiter post about this - authentic and fresh!

1moSomething I learned in my first year was not putting all my eggs in one basket... it's better to have 2/3 processes for a candidate as you never know what can go wrong, AND if all proccesses work out it's nice for them to have options 🙌
