It was wonderful to be in Brisbane for the Matildas v Brazil game as well as the Football Australia Women's Football Council meeting - working as one football ecosystem to promote women's football in Australia - thanks Dr Deidre Anderson PhD AM, Selina Holtze, Fran Sankey, Erin Clout, Gabriela Garton, Nikki Drost, Alyssar Narey , Jada Whyman. . What an honor to meet and be present at Craig Foster AM inaugurated into the Australian Football Hall of fame. Foz is an inspiration and a role model - especially his support of refugees and indigenous communities. It was also great to talk women's football with Annastacia Palaszczuk, former premier of Queensland, and thank her for her and Queensland's support of women's football especially of the FIFA Women's World Cup™. . Great to meet Sally Pearson OAM 100m hurdles Olympic champion and Clare Polkinghorne's mum and younger brother. It was Clare's farewell game after an incredible career on the national stage with 167 for the Matildas - congrats. Great to also chat to Matildas hall of famers Sue Monteath and Lisa Casagrande. The game that unites us. May it continue to grow and unit us at all levels of the game and society.
