30k to 300k in 3 Years 🤯 🤯 🤯 Yes, her annual income became her monthly income in just 3 years 🥂 I didn't do this FOR my client. We were in this together. And what a ride... "OMG, Thank you! We’re a great team!" (client words 😉 ) When we first worked together, she was trading time for money, feeling exhausted and frustrated but fueled by ambition. She needed to step up and become the brand of her business. She nailed it. 👉 Started by outsourcing tasks, swiftly moving on to employing some of those she initially outsourced to. 👉 Grew her team, gradually releasing all the hats she once wore, hat by hat. 👉 Beautifully structured her business with SOPs, job descriptions and all that good stuff. 👉 Created unique processes to streamline client onboarding and workflow management. To name but a few....... Of course, it hasn’t been all plain sailing; personal challenges have been thrown into the mix.  Life happens..... And I’m here for every bit of it. Howdy! Words cannot fully or truly express how much these awards mean to me. I have never been motivated by awards, honestly. Most people assumed I thrived on recognition and attention. Ironically, those people never paid attention. If they did sit down and get to know me, they would have learned that most everywhere I’ve been I’ve mostly felt like an afterthought. That’s not to blame anybody, really. The mind, as we know, can be a steel trap. Anyways, now that these awards sit in my office, I can’t help but feel proud. Again, words can’t express how much this means to me, so allow me to share how I think these accolades came to be. 1. It wasn’t because I dressed in quintessential professional attire always. 2. It wasn’t because I spoke like a scholar, and refrained from vulgarities in totality. 3. It wasn’t because my hair was styled a certain “acceptable” way. 4. It wasn’t because I am perfect. 5. It was because I showed up and gave it my all. 6. It was because I have a team around me that helps me to be successful. 7. It was because I have a team around me that makes me feel loved and valued. 8. It was because I have a supervisor who believes me when I say something is not right. Honestly, I feel anybody from my current team could have won it all this year. This morning I had the privilege of attending Mr. Cooper's DEI Coffee Chat with Mike Weinbach, president and Kurt Johnson, EVP & Chief Financial Officer. Kurt, who is also an Executive Sponsor for our PACE Employee Resource Team, lead the discussion. We covered topics such as leadership and how we can make Mr. Cooper a more safe and non-judgmental place to work. The event was brought to us by our Office of DEI in partnership with the Working Families Group and Diversity Champions of India Employee Resource Teams. We started off with a little humor and learning that Mike always prefers a cup of English Breakfast tea over a cup of coffee. Although I'm a remote employee and have never stepped foot into a Mr. Cooper office, I felt right at home, 1,000 miles away from headquarters. As I continue to grow in my career with Mr. Cooper I treasured this opportunity to learn priceless lessons on how to be a successful people leader. Some lessons I walked away with include:   - Being empathetic and giving up control are key factors in being a great people leader. - Multitasking is a superpower and being able to compartmentalize each and every task you face throughout your day is important so that you can be fully present with whatever you're doing. This allows you to get the job done, and get it done right! - It's ok and actually important to disconnect sometimes. Family, health and fitness, both mental and physical, should be prioritized. This allows you the ability to stay well rounded and rested so you can face tomorrow's challenges. - Absorb information. Ask questions and follow up. - Be observative. People can be great examples of what to do and what not to do.   Our leadership team at Mr. Cooper sees the importance of keeping DEI at the forefront of our company as well and sees their involvement as critical. We discussed more ways we can get involved in our communities and make DEI a more meaningful and inclusive space. Everyone has a different starting place but it's important we bridge the gap and start making the race a fair one. On top of our efforts with DEI we recently reached our goal of becoming a trillion dollar servicer and we are not stopping here! I look forward to seeing what we will accomplish next.

I recently got to spend some good time with an old colleague after many years and as it happens, recalling old incidents and laughing over them. Once I had resigned from a company that was trying to retain me. I had made it clear that I wanted a sabbatical and "however sweet" the deal, won't change my mind. The Exec asked me for my inputs on next 3 years business plan. I created one for him and he wasn't pleased with what he saw. He said - Sunil, the candidate I am about to finalize has given me a 3X revenue plan of this and that makes more sense. I looked at that plan and laughed - If I was trying to get this job, I would give a similar plan. But since I am not interested , I am giving a true, realistic one. He asked me what was wrong with that plan. Sample this - Our competition 1 is doing 50m, competition 2 is doing 30m and third one is doing 25m. We know those channel partners and customers and will be able to snatch 5% in Y1 and hence 5m. I asked him to break it down. Out of the 50m of competition 1, 20m was from a product that we didn't have, 10m was renewal, 10m was attach revenue due to large enterprise deals ( we were mid market players) and hence our attack area was only 10m out of their 50m. After few months of leaving, I got to know that the same "bloated, inflated" business plan was presented and adopted and obviously failed badly. Why was this done? The numbers and projections in corporate world is mostly a Ponzi scheme. People buy months and quarters by providing contrived plans around what the top bosses WANT to hear. Sach se uska door door tak naata nahi. #faqeerism - Do the right activities first, right results will follow. Wishing, eyewashing, hoping, putting cart before the horse, will sound good to hear. Just don't get shocked when reality strikes. Don't start believing your own lies !!! They are meant to fool others and not you... 😀 #faqeerism - Ask no questions, hear no lies. Happy Dussehra !!!
