Athletes will play a more prominent role in the distribution of sports content. The way younger generations follow sports is different, and in some cases they feel more attached with individual athletes rather than with sports properties, you can clearly see it if you look at social media. On social media, athletes generally have more followers than the teams or the leagues, and this is something that we see across all sports. This trend suggest that if we want to reach more and new audiences, Sports properties will need to think how they leverage athletes to distribute their content. #socialmedia #smsports #njfsportsandmedia

Monthly Social Media Analytics Recap 📲 I'm extremely proud of how the Renegades social channels performed in February, here's a quick rundown of how we stacked up! We had the #1 Tiktok in all of MiLB, featuring the #1 post with over a million views! We grew at the 2nd fastest rate of all High-A Ballclubs across all social media platforms, with the fourth most total impressions across all platforms. On top of this, I'm extremely proud to say we ranked top five in every metric across the board last month! From engagement rate, impressions per platform, engagements per post, and more! This month checks off two major boxes that our department has been striving to achieve since October. One, to "figure out" Facebook. For the longest time, we ranked middle of the pack in Facebook content impressions and were stagnant in audience growth. Today, I can say we were the fastest-growing Facebook page in High-A last month! Second, Tiktok is my largest focus across our team's marketing strategy this season, so for us to rank #1 in all of Minor League Baseball couldn't make me more proud of our team!
