A culture of continuous learning is essential for organizations striving to foster adaptability and growth. To effectively implement this culture, department managers must create an environment where learning is embedded in the company's DNA, rather than merely encouraged. As I see it and as I mentioned in this Forbes piece, aligning training programs with the in-demand skills that employees need is crucial. This not only supports the company’s strategic growth but also helps individuals achieve their personal career aspirations. Lifelong learning is the foundation for long-term career success. Managers play a pivotal role in communicating the value of continuous learning and making it a priority across all levels of the organization. Through thoughtful integration of learning into the workplace, we position ourselves—and our teams—for a more resilient future. https://lnkd.in/e8FRpCr6 #Skills #OrganizationalCulture #CareerTransition #WorkforceDevelopment #Leadership

1moLove John's quote in the Forbes piece. His phrase, "connect learning...to achieving personal career goals" led me to think of the maid who noticed that her wealthy employers always had lots of books in their house. She then made sure her own children were always surrounded by books at home and they all grew up to be great professional successes.
