Teach kids the fundamentals. The fundamentals of youth sports = joy. I absolutely love what Jesse Cole is doing to breath life into baseball and get parents to loosen up. Some comments online about this are 🤔. My 2 cents: Any adult who has a problem with this should go outside today and dance a little with friends. We need more joy in youth sports. More resources to keep kids active. More of this! Go Bananas! Sports Innovation Lab

The first ever Banana Ball Youth Tournament was one for the books. 900 players on 75 teams from 48 states all playing the crazy sport of Banana Ball that we created. Seeing all these kids, both boys and girls, having so much fun on the baseball field meant more to me than words can describe. When we started the Savannah Bananas we had one goal, to make baseball fun and bring people together. For four straight days in Cleveland, kids from all over the country played the game to have fun and their brothers and sisters and parents and grandparents all joined in the fun as they watched. I saw more dances, celebrations and trick plays than I've ever seen in my life. I saw more laughter on a baseball field and more pure joy than I could ever imagine. Top it all off, with amazing Banana Ball talent with hundreds of trick plays and trick pitches, and it was beyond special for our first youth tournament. This is the future. I told the players and our staff that in less than 10 years some of the players that you coached at the first ever Banana Ball Youth Tournament will be playing with you at sold out Major League Stadiums. And I believe it 100%. It takes a lot of creativity and hard work to play Banana Ball and to see these kids put it all out there with their first official games proves that this is just the start. I'm beyond proud of everyone who made this event happen. From our friends at Athletx Sports Group, to all the coaches, umpires and players involved, you all represented Banana Ball and Fans First tremendously well. This is the future of Banana Ball and the future is bright.
