EU funding may be a gamechanger for emerging and advanced health technologies. Check out some insights by EurA AG after they presented a roadmap for successful applications for EU funding in #healthcare. 👇 📌 Almost all research and innovation related funds recognize the importance of the randomized clinical trials and provide funds with up to 100% coverage. 📌 Interesting calls to come under #HorizonEurope, #EIC and #EU4health. Truly novel ideas often persevere and get funded. 📌 The early bird wins it all! Be advised to look into the annual work programs and prepare long before the call opening. 🌐 The international EurA networks, funded under the Central Innovation Program for SMEs (ZIM), have been recognized as a valuable approach for building large-scale consortia and attracting EU funding.

The health and life sciences sector has been identified by both the Conservative and Labour parties as key to stimulating growth in the UK. Therefore, whoever wins the upcoming general election, you would hope the sector should be in a good position for the next electoral cycle and beyond. However, since the early 2000s, pledges to create a positive regulatory framework and financial support have consistently been made to the UK life sciences sector by every governing party. For many looking to grow beyond launch through venture rounds or considering an IPO, the day-to-day reality of achieving success appears tougher than ever. This has led to people in the sector asking the question: have we not heard this all before? At 5654 & Company, we see things differently, this time. The next government will inherit an economic situation that is crying out for growth and sectors that can meaningfully contribute to it. It makes this a generational opportunity for companies within these growth sectors to call out what the barriers are to their success, including how they are funded, to a captive audience. Importantly, it will also be a chance to work with and guide the new government on the best way to unleash the power of UK life sciences. After conversations with many people across the sector, we see three key areas of opportunity to help companies achieve their business objectives, including: Driving investment propositions that cannot be ignored Removing barriers to growth Attracting foreign investment to the UK We will be reviewing them one by one in the run up to the election on 4 July 2024. Tell us what you think would help transform the investor climate and make it easier for companies to operate in the UK. #Health #LifeSciences #Healthcare #Pharma #Biotech #Medtech #Healthtech #CorporateAffairs #Innovation
