For those working on energy transition especially in Asia, The World Bank has developed a list of 57 economic activities to guide investments that support a #justtransition from coal – the ‘Just Transition Taxonomy’. This taxonomy is the first of its kind – and crucially, the Just Transition Taxonomy addresses the need for a taxonomy which integrates social, economic and environmental dimensions of the transition. The taxonomy’s economic activities are distributed across three pillars: (1) governance, (2) people and communities, and (3) repurposing of former coal mining lands and associated assets. The Just Transition Taxonomy is accompanied by a narrative report to frame, contextualize, and explain how to use the taxonomy. Both the report and list of activities are available for download here: https://lnkd.in/gex488mj Thanks to my colleague and WBCSD – World Business Council for Sustainable Development equity lead Carolien de Bruin for sharing

🤔 Framing is KEY when foresighting #ESG risks. A 🇨🇱 Chilean media outlet titled on July 22: "Documentary shows Chilean minerals that fuel the war in Europe" 📛 🔥 ☣ ⚠ The article highlights three globally well-known ⛏ #mining companies (find them in the article 🔎 ). 🔫 The media reports that those companies supply the arms industry in Europe. 🇪🇺 It also says that the European Commission's scientific research centre has already identified those companies... It doesn't say where or why 😒 The article is incomplete and biased. Unfortunately, it doesn't matter. The reputational damage is done. Are you dealing with reputational issues? Are you posing a scenario planning related to ESG risk analysis? 🌟 💡 FRAMING IS KEY. ✅ Go beyond the obvious and hypothesize how the media, your competitor, or the government may frame your actions. Then, design your strategy. (Find the original article in the comments) 👇 London Politica Fernando Prats CIS Consultores Claudio Pizarro Torres
