Executive Director, Asia Pacific at WBCSD

For those working on energy transition especially in Asia, The World Bank has developed a list of 57 economic activities to guide investments that support a #justtransition from coal – the ‘Just Transition Taxonomy’. This taxonomy is the first of its kind – and crucially, the Just Transition Taxonomy addresses the need for a taxonomy which integrates social, economic and environmental dimensions of the transition.   The taxonomy’s economic activities are distributed across three pillars: (1) governance, (2) people and communities, and (3) repurposing of former coal mining lands and associated assets. The Just Transition Taxonomy is accompanied by a narrative report to frame, contextualize, and explain how to use the taxonomy. Both the report and list of activities are available for download here: https://lnkd.in/gex488mj Thanks to my colleague and WBCSD – World Business Council for Sustainable Development equity lead Carolien de Bruin for sharing
