DOE Sec, Granholm, in Battleground Detroit, goes all in on Biden’s auto sector policies: “We’re not effing around!” Her view: automakers need government as a partner to fund the EV transition. Without getting into federal politics, a key takeaway from this discussion is that much of the responsibility for the clean energy transition is already moving to the states. Beyond rebates for EV sales, the states need to get the physical and regulatory infrastructure in place to counter a potential slowdown in federal funds. https://lnkd.in/dgJtSA9q

"UK Faces Looming Electric Vehicle Crisis After Government Budget Neglect" Car manufacturers are sounding the alarm over the UK government's dismissal of the looming electric vehicle (EV) crisis. Chancellor Jeremy Hunt's recent budget announcement lacked any measures to boost EV adoption or alleviate ownership costs, despite the impending ban on new internal combustion engine (ICE) car sales by 2035. Well AAA reports. Electric vehicles are devalued by 50% as soon as your purchase. Also, over 50% of EV owners if able would never buy another EV and would buy a gas propulsion engine knowing what they know now. And historical information, makes it apparent that it's not going to get better. Department of Transportation after 3 years spends 7 million dollars on 7 stations. So how do they plan to do better? Biden announced 613million dollars more. LMAO Where is this money been going..I'd say corruption https://lnkd.in/gN-_TJFM

🚗 Big news from the auto industry and a huge step forward for electric vehicles (EVs)! VP Kamala Harris has just announced a thrilling $3 billion investment from the DOE to bolster EV component production. Here’s why this matters: American Axle & Manufacturing, a Michigan-based supplier, is set to utilize these funds to build a new facility in Detroit, bringing 1,300 new job opportunities to the community. The initiative is a key part of the Biden administration's Inflation Reduction Act, which allocates a whopping $7 billion towards expanding EV and battery production capabilities. 🔋 As someone who has closely followed the transformation of the automotive industry, this milestone resonates deeply. I remember a colleague consulting with an auto parts manufacturer years ago, where transitioning to EV was more a distant plan than an impending reality. Seeing such substantial government backing now solidifies the shift towards sustainable transport as a national priority. This development is poised to reduce reliance on foreign parts, reinforcing the US EV supply chain. It's an exciting time, but some critics fear it may spike inflation or increase taxpayer burdens. 🤔 What are your thoughts on this boost for EVs? Will the benefits outweigh potential economic downsides? Share your insights or stories about how shifts in industry standards have impacted your sector! #ElectricVehicles #SustainableEnergy #ManufacturingJobs #InflationReductionAct #EconomicDevelopment #JobCreation #USAutoIndustry https://lnkd.in/gwdbnUnV
