For Position: Sr Azure Cloud Engineer Location: Hyderabad Employment Type: Full-Time Summary We are looking for a skilled Sr Azure Cloud Engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in deploying, managing, and optimizing containerized applications on AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service). The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and efficient Kubernetes solutions on the Azure platform, ensuring smooth orchestration of resources to meet business objectives. Key Responsibilities AKS Deployment and Management 1. Design, deploy, and maintain Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) clusters to support containerized workloads. 2. Manage AKS node pools, scaling configurations, and cluster upgrades. 3. Automate AKS deployments using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM), Bicep, or Terraform. Containerization and Orchestration 1. Build and manage containerized applications using Docker. 2. Configure Kubernetes resources such as pods, deployments, services, and ingress controllers. 3. Implement advanced Kubernetes features like Helm charts, namespaces, and custom resources (CRDs). Resource Management 1. Optimize resource utilization and scaling to ensure cost efficiency and performance. 2. Manage Azure cloud resources integrated with AKS, virtual networks, storage accounts, and load balancers. 3. Monitor and troubleshoot resource consumption using Azure Monitor, Azure Advisor, and Prometheus/Grafana. Security and Compliance 1. Implement RBAC, Azure AD integration, and network policies to secure AKS clusters. 2. Enforce best practices for securing container images and registries (e.g., Azure Container Registry). 3. Perform vulnerability assessments and remediation for AKS clusters and containers. DevOps Integration 1. Integrate CI/CD pipelines for AKS workloads using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. 2. Automate the build, testing, and deployment of Kubernetes manifests. 3. Collaborate with DevOps teams to enable seamless application delivery. Monitoring and Troubleshooting 1. Set up observability for AKS workloads using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Kubernetes-native tools. 2. Diagnose and resolve AKS cluster or application issues. 3. Implement logging solutions with Fluentd, Log Analytics, and ELK Stack tools. Roles & Responsibilities: CI/CD Pipeline: Develop and improve CI/CD pipeline from Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) to AWS Elastic Container Registry (ECR), utilizing Flux for GitOps workflows. Implement automated deployments to various environments including Development, Testing, Pre-production, and Production. Design and enforce an approval process for code/image promotion between environments. Manage custom environment variables and shared secrets securely between Microsoft Azure and AWS environments. Ensure secure deployment practices by enforcing separation of concerns between ADO and AWS EKS clusters, and helm chart deployments. Terraform Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize Terraform to provision and manage infrastructure resources on AWS including but not limited to: MS Windows and RHEL EC2 instances. AWS RDS instances for PostgreSQL, MS SQL, and DocumentDB. AWS Redis, AWS Transfer Family, EKS clusters, and node groups. AWS S3, EFS, and EBS volumes, AWS NLB & ALB, and VPC configurations. Implement disaster recovery (DR) environments for both EC2 instances and EKS clusters, ensuring proper networking configurations. Helm Chart Refactoring: Refactor existing monolithic Helm charts into separate charts for each microservice to improve maintainability and scalability. AWS EKS Management: Implement horizontal auto-scaling for EKS cluster nodes, ensuring efficient resource utilization and workload distribution. Enable vertical auto-scaling for RDS instances without causing downtime, ensuring high availability and performance of database services.
