Entering into a new chapter of Life. The journey of perpetual motion thus far is one that had begun in Detroit at age 5 as the oldest boy of 4 to a single 24 year old Mother in the early 70's. Without specific goals or direction only perpetual motion I humbly look inward and cannot answer the question(s) to "how?" or "why?" personal life has been filled constant with experiences that leave people shaking heads in disbelief if only those people had not been witness or involved. From running the streets in youth to air travel in G5's. From not eating for days to breaking bread with captains of industry, celebrities and influential political figures. From being banned from the most affluent places only to accept requests to be an honored guest or speaker at those same places. Again, I humbly look inward and ask, "how?" or "why?" Approaching the age of 60, this non high school graduate has lived enough for several life spans. Certainly, is nice to reflect the past and present with many who have kept in contact since childhood. Many fond, crazy, incredible memories, antics, events and moments that created history are triggered when speaking with those who remember when our paths in life crossed. Blessed with an abundance of love from others and thankful to God having the opportunity to walk in righteousness though a fallible human continuously trying to improve. The personal answer to the question "why?" was I the beneficiary of such great experiences is at hand but "how?" can others be blessed from my good fortune has yet to be revealed. In final, I seek new adventure. The personal next chapter of life I search for adventure with organizations not afraid of God. I search for team-oriented organizations interested in utilizing my years of experience and contacts to create new moments through events that uplift faith, hope and impact community. To all of my Metropolitan State University of Denver Alumni and LinkedIn connects…A lot of times we don’t really look into the symbols or names of things and why they are called what they are called right? But most often people are named things because they have meaning and power behind it in some form or fashion. “Did you know that the Roadrunner symbolism is reminding you that you must take quick action on your ideas. In other words, this spirit animal meaning insists that you have the knowledge, wisdom, and wits to see everything through to its finish. Especially if you trust your intuition and instincts? From time to time, Roadrunner meaning reminds you that you can deal with unpleasant situations. Thus you must believe in yourself and trust that you will find the right words and actions to defuse the situation. Alternatively, the Roadrunner symbolism, like the Boar, may be a sign that you need to get yourself motivated. In other words, please make a list, prioritize, break it down into smaller steps and get those projects done! Be sure to cross them off and keep it simple. These people love the desert and often live in it. They are happiest when they are involved in any project. Folks with this power animal are also very good at multitasking. They will often start a new project before they complete what they are currently working on. Occasionally they will begin too many projects and find themselves overwhelmed, resulting in a lack of motivation - (so they must prioritize what’s most important first) …. If you have, it'll strike a chord deep within you. It's a question that invites introspection and challenges us to consider the impact we have on those around us. No doubt, we're in a world that is often consumed by individual pursuits and personal goals and it's easy to overlook the power of empathy and compassion. It's easy to put ourselves and our needs first, most of the time. Of course, there's absolutely nothing wrong in putting yourself first, however sometimes there are exceptions. If we look deeper, it is these simple acts of kindness that truly make a difference in someone's life, sometimes you might not even know. It could be as simple as offering a helping hand to a neighbor in need, lending a listening ear to a friend going through a tough time, or simply showing understanding to a stranger, each small act of kindness ripples out into the world and creates a wave of positivity and connection. Sympathy is the cornerstone of human connection. It reminds us that we are all in this together, navigating the complexities of life side by side. An Inspiring Tale of Love and Perseverance 🏃♀️❤️ At 65, Lata Khare took on an incredible challenge: she ran a marathon to raise money for her husband’s medical treatment. With determination in her heart, she aimed to win the prize money needed to help save his life. Lata’s journey is a powerful reminder that love can conquer even the toughest obstacles. It's been 8 amazing months working with Jose Ucar. I feel so privileged that I not only have a client, but also a close friend and a mentor in one and the same person. I'll share with you what I mean by this. Jose is the real life definition of the saying "Charity begins at home," as well as "Walk the talk." Now I know you might be tempted to think that I say so only because I work alongside the guy. But trust me, that's not the case. I am of these sentiments entirely and in all honesty because every single thing Jose speaks and writes about, I have experienced first-hand and been impacted by it in so many ways. I have gradually grown and learnt to appreciate myself, my day-to day efforts and achievements, as a result of my daily interactions with Jose. My mindset is nothing close to what it was when he and I started working together. As I share this quote with you, I reflect back and recount the number of times I have felt low, unmotivated, and full of self-doubt in my journey with Jose. But somehow, he has always noticed this, without me needing to share it (Something that perplexes me to date) and addressed it, leaving me feel like a whole new person. Like the world is mine to conquer. In summary, his approach to these low, unmotivated, doubtful moments of mine has been: "Stephen, are you the same person you were before? Do you feel like you have given it your best? What can you do differently to attain more satisfactory outcomes?" On this Memorial Day and everyday, all of us must acknowledge the massive debt of gratitude we owe to all the fallen heroes and their families. We flippantly throw around words like “sacrifice” “hard work” “dedication”, “selflessness”, “heroes”, “lifesaver”, and the totally insufferable “now, more than ever” in our work and personal lives. However, when it comes to actually fighting and dying for the 🇺🇸 so that the rest of us can pursue whatever makes us fulfilled, these weighty concepts become very real very fast. Please, let’s never forget and always remember. Now, for those in PR/Comms rushing to finalize your organizational or leader Memorial Day message, here are a few quick tips: ⬇️ ➡️It REALLY needs to be about honoring the sacrifices, bravery, and profound loss. ➡️It shouldn’t include words like “fun”, “happy”, “barbecues”, “relaxing,” or similar misaligned terms that don’t capture the solemnity. ➡️ Beyond the kind words, take real actions like contributing to a trusted charity, scholarship fund, or provide direct support to Gold ⭐️ families. ➡️Highlighting the ultimate sacrifices from your employees, partners, their loved one goes a long way to connect the dots and make it real. ➡️It’s better to say nothing than to come across as an out of touch nitwit. ➡️ Dont mention your “big holiday sale” in the main remembrance messages, especially from your leaders. We met when we were 5 in our first days of prep, and we’ve been best mates ever since, more like brothers than friends. Our sense of humor just clicked, constantly making fun of each other with quality banter. But we’re there for each other, after a bad day, or just for support when it’s needed most. For us, there’s no real obstacles in maintaining our friendship. When you’ve been such good friends for as long as we have it comes naturally to stick by each other. After Nick’s brain injury, I always felt like this is still just Nick. "I just knew my mate, his personality didn't change. He was just facing new challenges. And figuring himself out." Things change throughout this ride we call life, and you need to roll with it. We always give each other moral support, and we’re there to remind each other who we are. We’ve can always read each other and just sit around and chill, from a big night out to a quiet night in. I know no matter what kind of day we’ve had he’s always up for matching it. We work on the percentage rule in life. Always try our best to give a minimum 60 % to our friendship, but when we can’t I know that he will always be there to pick up the slack for me and vice versa.
