So, what have I learnt in the last year of running my business? 🤔 As JJR Event Planning celebrates its first anniversary, I’ve had the opportunity to reflect on the incredible journey over the last 12 months, and what it has taught me. Here are some of the most important things I’ve learned: 💡 Resilience is key: Building a business from the ground up requires not just strategy, but self-belief and persistence - just keep showing up. 🎯 The power of human connection: Whether it's clients, colleagues or vendors, building genuine, trusted connections has been key. I’ve seen firsthand that strong relationships not only lead to great events but also how beneficial they are for longer-term collaborations and overall enjoying everyday so much more! ⚡ Trust in your knowledge and experience: Every event so far has pushed me to think outside the box, solve new challenges, and deliver unique experiences - and I've realised that with the right mindset, there is no limit to what you do 🚀 📈 Growth is a process: This year has shown me that growth - both personally and professionally - takes time, patience, and hard work. But the milestones, no matter how small you feel they may be, are worth celebrating! Celebrate your wins, and do not get caught up in the vicious cycle of comparison. You cannot compare your day 1 to another persons day 1000 📝 ✨ Self-belief is crucial: The amount of work I’ve had to on myself this past year is something that I didn’t expect AT ALL! You have to be your own number one fan - I’ve had to constantly tell myself that I’m capable of achieving what I set out to do. That daily reminder keeps me moving forward, even when challenges arise. It’s been an incredible year of growth, learning, and plenty of challenges, but I wouldn’t change a thing. Thank you to everyone who’s been a part of this journey so far - here’s to more lessons, more growth, and even bigger events ahead ✨ #eventprofs #entrepreneurship #businessgrowth #selfbelief #eventplanning #jjreventplanning #lessonslearned

I’ve been where you are. Late nights. Client calls that seem to go on forever. The last-minute changes that make you question your life choices (oh, hi, 100 extra guests—sure, no problem!). For years, I lived and breathed events. I loved the adrenaline rush, the creativity, and bringing people's visions to life. But, somewhere along the way, something shifted. It wasn’t that I didn’t love planning anymore—it’s just that I started loving something else even more. See, while I was managing timelines, vendors, and (let’s be real) mild chaos, other planners would reach out to me for advice. They wanted to know how I was booking clients, navigating tricky situations, and somehow still keeping my sanity. That’s when I realized something huge: I loved helping "them" just as much as I loved the events themselves. Here’s the truth: the event industry can be lonely. You’re often the only one who knows how much work goes into making things run smoothly. And, if you’re anything like me, you can feel isolated when it seems like everyone around you is doing it better, bigger, and faster. I switched to coaching because I wanted to change that. I wanted to be the person I "wish" I had when I was in the thick of it all. Someone to talk to, bounce ideas off of, and tell me, “Yes, you "can" raise your rates without losing clients.” Now, instead of sweating over seating charts, I’m working with planners like you, helping you grow your business, your confidence, and your ability to say “no” to those impossible demands (because no, I can’t create a unicorn ice sculpture for tomorrow’s event, Karen). Coaching has given me the chance to support event professionals in a whole new way. My goal is simple: help you build a business that thrives—without running yourself into the ground. If you’ve ever felt like you could use someone in your corner, I’d love to chat. Let’s see how we can make your event business everything you want it to be—without losing your mind along the way. #eventplanner #eventbusiness #entrepreneurship #businessmentor #businessgrowth #eventplanning #eventprofs #businesscoach #eventmanagement

Today marks the kickoff of an exhilarating journey for virsitour! 🌟 As I prepare to step into the spotlight for the first of three pivotal pitches this month, I can't help but reflect on the incredible path that has led me here. For years, I've immersed myself in pitch competitions, tasting both victory and the valuable lessons that come with near misses. Now, as I gear up for the next two pitches at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center, it feels like a graduation of sorts from the enriching InFlight program that has been my home for the past five months. In this program, I've honed my brand voice, fine-tuned product-market fit, delved into the intricacies of finances and sales, and absorbed more about running a company than I ever thought possible in such a short span. The journey hasn't been easy, but every challenge has been a stepping stone towards growth. Walking into any pitch or meeting now, I carry with me a profound sense of confidence in our mission—to revolutionize the way meeting and event planners source and plan events, and to liberate hospitality professionals from the shackles of their routines, allowing them to truly live their lives. At virsitour, our story transcends technology; it's about the heartbeat of the events industry, the dedicated individuals who thrive on service and hospitality. We understand the toll that going above and beyond can take, which is why we're committed to making life a little easier for those in the industry. In the coming pitches, we'll be sharing not just our vision, but the stories of countless others whose journeys intersect with ours. Whether you're an event planner or work in hospitality, know that your journey is intertwined with ours, and I'll proudly champion your stories until we collectively shape our community through technology into a new reality. Join us as we embark on this thrilling adventure—one pitch at a time. Together, let's redefine what's possible in the events industry and beyond! 💼✨ #Virsitour #EventTech #Entrepreneurship #PitchPerfect #eventprofs #meetingprofs #ipec #hospitality #hotelsandresorts #venuesourcing #eventplanning

What I Love About VIP Days We just wrapped - 2 VIP Days this week. Have you ever participated in a VIP day or Mini VIP Session ? VIP Days are truly one of my favorite ways to work with clients because they offer such a powerful and focused opportunity for transformation. Here's why they stand out for me: Immediate Impact – One of the best parts of VIP Days is the ability to make a tangible difference in a single day. Instead of long, drawn-out engagements, we get to dive deep, make decisions, and create an actionable plan, all in a matter of hours. Clients leave with clarity, direction, and a concrete roadmap tailored specifically to their business needs. Personalized Attention – I love being able to offer one-on-one, dedicated time where my focus is 100% on the client’s challenges and goals. It's a rare opportunity to tackle specific pain points and create customized strategies. This deep-dive approach allows for much more than surface-level problem-solving. Efficient and Results-Driven – For both me and my clients, VIP Days are an incredibly efficient way to work. We compress weeks or even months of work into a single, action-packed day. This approach is perfect for those who want quick, clear results without waiting for the gradual progress of traditional coaching or consulting. The Transformation – Seeing my clients have those "lightbulb moments" is one of the most rewarding aspects of VIP Days. Whether it’s a breakthrough in marketing strategy, funding, or operational efficiency, witnessing how their business transforms and scales is the reason I love what I do. Tailored Follow-Up – The value doesn’t end when the day does. I offer follow-up support to ensure that the strategies we’ve crafted are successfully implemented. It's all about delivering long-term success, not just a short-term fix. #VIPDay #BusinessGrowth #ForProfitSuccess #BusinessStrategy #StrategicPlanning #BusinessConsulting #GrowthMindset #ClientSuccess #Entrepreneurship

Do you slow down or speed up when you are near the finish line? When you have a sold-out launch or event? When Q4 arrives? Do you keep on sharing & doing business development or do you pause? How do you position yourself & your brand do you shift, pivot & tweak if something is not working? Do you get lazy & not be as committed to the process? When you have signed those 4 high-ticket clients for the month what is your next move? Slow down? Speed up with the momentum? Even if the momentum isn’t there? P.S. it can always be created btw. Do you take a break from sharing on social media? When you have booked ideal speaking events & hit your quota—do you keep going? Here’s the thing: throughout the years in business I have seen AND have been the person who has stopped or slowed down near the finish line. I had either hit my goals, exceeded expectations of my goals or hadn’t hit them at all & I would then stop or slow down. Many stop before the finish line when they have hit their goals because they get comfortable. Others stop before the finish line when they haven’t “hit” their goals according to their timeline. What is true for you? What I have learned & experience is this The magic occurs near & at the finish line & beyond. Some of my highest revenue months, biggest opportunities & incredible people that I have met that have changed my life & business came at “the last moments”. The last minute before I shut down my computer The last day of the month The last day of the year The question becomes are you interested or committed? This is what separates the successful from the extraordinary successful. How will you show up today & this week? Q4 is here. 🧬Conscious commitment is powerful—it is the moment that you decide and activate your standards—at the times when you are feeling good and not feeling so good. You get to decide what decision you will make. For over a decade, I’ve been leading, coaching & supporting well-know fashion, luxury & retail brands & female founders & entrepreneurs globally on positioning, strategizing & creating more money to the bottom line with ease, flow & grace. While having a ton of fun. We work hard & play hard. It’s your time to be supported, be in momentum & make moves in your business that create even more money for you. We have some surprises for you in Q4 make sure you subscribe to the newsletter here: www.KellyLynnAdams.com
