This project is a key one with the primary focus of teaching youth about mining and will encourage them to consider mining as a career. The Dynamic Earth team and our Advisory Committees are preparing an experience that will be second to none! Can’t wait for everyone to see it in 2024!
Collège Boréal has used our mine to teach their students about surveying for many years. This year our mine is not accessible due to the Go Deeper excavations. But because of that, we were able to develop another exciting opportunity for the students! Working with Technica Mining, the students could visit the construction site yesterday to learn more about the mining methods and equipment used. From there, the students will use this information and our current designs to determine a ventilation plan for the drift. They will be able to compare their plans with Technica's and get some hands-on learning on an active project that will benefit them as they start their careers in mining! Thank you to the Technica team for speaking with the students and enhancing their learning experience.
