Jim Bush’s Post

Six years ago, EM beyond the Avalon formation was inconsistent or impossible and drilling ROP was nearly 50% of what it is now. This new technology has done 100% past that point several times, and at 6 to 12 bps. I've heard that the speed isn't necessary... Why would you not want more frequent real-time Inc, Azimuth, Gamma, Shock or other variable to match the ever increasing ROP? Our goal at the outset was to build something that kept up with the ROP moving target and aid Drilling/Geology departments building better wellbores. The one item that's definitely novel here is the additional benefits of providing real-time near bit resistance measurement for formation correlation, ahead of the gamma sensor. Breaking News: Quantum completes another 3-mile Delaware lateral with EM! This milestone was achieved with our flagship proprietary MESH175C MWD system (Ver1). Decoding was 100% for the curve and lateral finishing the well at 12 bps raw encoding - a smooth 1.6 sec. per toolface update. The scary part is the next generation (Ver2) is a "leap" better and launches November 🚀 Reserve your next generation MWD kit today. #mwd #drillingtools #drillingtechnology #innovation #itsfuntogofast

How's the feedback been on the new MESH175C system? Any notable improvements from users in real-time data collection Jim Bush?
