Dr. Syed Iftikhar Shah, Director of Digital Research at the Digital Cooperation Organization, shared his insights at the ICESCO LTIPS webinar on "AI and Peace: Harnessing Technology in Peacebuilding and Development. He highlighted the role of AI in driving digital economies, peacebuilding, and sustainable development, stressing the need for stakeholders’ collaborative efforts to balance digital innovation with regulatory measures to manage the potential side effects of AI, including Generative AI tools. Dr. Syed also discussed the DCO’s initiatives, including the AI Readiness Toolkit and Responsible AI tools, which aim to support the DCO Member States in adopting ethical and inclusive AI technologies.
