🔊 As promised… an update on our 📸 selfie experiment from my conversation on The Power of Socialization and Learning and how we scale that AML RightSource : ⏱️ 48 hours into this conversation… we have 4,799 Impressions from our Future of Learning Selfie post. 🗣️Over ~30 L&D leaders reached out to me directly to deepen the conversation on socialization and learning… asking for practical techniques they can implement TODAY, in their organization. And I happily provided 😊! #shareknowledge 📈How else has this information scaled? ❓Would this have happened, would that learning be activated… if there wasn’t an easy on-ramp for all these brilliant learning leaders? 🧐Would it have happened if their social brain wasn’t activated to be engaged and motivated? Maybe on a smaller scale? 🎯Socialization is an essential and strategic component to learning. 🙋🏼♀️Just ask 9 year old Jessie #iykyk 😂 Thank you M-Media Events for having me! #futureoflearning #learninganddevelopment #globallearning

🦉Have you or your organization experienced or possibly currently experiencing ETHICAL DRIFT? 🦉Ethical Drift refers to a gradual shift away from established moral standards, often so subtle that it goes unnoticed at first. 🦉Over time, small compromises or justifications for actions that once seemed unacceptable can accumulate, leading to a significant decline in overall ethical standards. Let’s talk about it. Beyond the First Step: Why Company Culture Tops Governance and Compliance 🏢Companies strive to improve their governance and compliance, but it's important to remember that the underlying company culture is more important than individual measures🤝👥. This article from The Guardian examines the effectiveness (or lack thereof) of "nudging" or gently steering people towards better decisions, and how the underlying beliefs are more important in the long run. As Evan Polman and Sam Maglio conclude, nudges may be a good first step, but they are just that - a first step. My conclusion for company culture and governance: Ultimately, it's crucial to create a culture of responsible decision-making and ethical behavior to achieve lasting change. Check out the article for more insights, the link is in the comments. And for those who want a humorous pick-me-up on Tuesday, check out the Monty Python sketch on Youtube: Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, know what I mean? 😉 #Governance #Compliance #Culture #Nudging #EthicalBehavior #ResponsibleDecisionMaking

Metacognition Qualgod LLP #aplomb "The more conscious you are of how you think, the better you’ll be at controlling the outcome of your thoughts." Metacognition is the ability to think about and regulate one’s own thinking. It involves two main components: metacognitive knowledge (awareness of how you learn or think) and metacognitive regulation (the ability to control and adjust cognitive strategies). Key aspects include planning, where you set goals and decide how to approach a task, monitoring, where you assess your comprehension during the task, and evaluating, where you reflect on your performance afterward. For example, when studying for an exam, metacognition helps you recognize your strengths and weaknesses, choose the most effective study techniques, monitor your progress, and adjust strategies if necessary. It improves learning, problem-solving, and fosters self-regulation, allowing individuals to be more adaptable and efficient in their cognitive processes. By applying metacognitive strategies, you can enhance your ability to learn and succeed in various areas of life, from education to professional development.

Radical open-mindedness and radical transparency are invaluable for rapid learning and effective change. Learning is the product of a continuous real-time feedback loop in which we make decisions, see their outcomes, and improve our understanding of reality as a result. Being radically open-minded enhances the efficiency of those feedback loops, because it makes what you are doing, and why, so clear to yourself and others that there can’t be any misunderstandings. The more open-minded you are, the less likely you are to deceive yourself— and the more likely it is that others will give you honest feedback. If they are “believable” people (and it’s very important to know who is “believable”), you will learn a lot from them. #principleoftheday
