For the job seekers out there here’s a strategy that’s often underutilized and bears repeating: “Navigating today’s job market relies on networking more than ever. Not just by maintaining relationships with people you know, but by developing new relationships with people in roles and companies you want to be in for yourself to create rapport and camaraderie.” If you need advice on how to implement this strategy effectively I’m happy to help! #jobsearch #jobs #careers #networking

If you're one of the people in the middle of a difficult job search, I know it's not much consolation, but you're not alone. There are so many talented people who are struggling, even though they are doing all the right things to get hired. Despite the low unemployment rate, this job market is challenging for many job seekers. One reason is that there's a mismatch between the companies that are hiring (social assistance, healthcare, transportation, and retail) and the companies that are laying off (tech, media, finance). Another is that even though the economy is creating jobs, the 175,000 created in April isn't that many when you consider the number of people out of work. If you're one of those people, please know it's not just you. Despite the rosy picture painted by a 3.9% unemployment rate, it doesn't matter what the rate is if you're laid off and are having trouble finding your next position. Compound that with limited unemployment benefits (in dollars and weeks), juggling bills, and staying positive in tough circumstances can be really hard. Here are some tips to help you keep moving forward when it feels like nothing is working. #jobsearch #jobsearchadvice

Job Search Frustrations: Is It Just Me? Lately, it seems like no site is truly helping anyone get jobs. Many platforms that promise to get you hired are charging $50/month just to apply for a job. Does anyone else see this as a red flag? Even when I go directly to company websites, the response is always the same: silence or generic rejections. The job search process is already stressful enough without the added burden of hefty fees and lack of genuine responses. These practices can be discouraging, especially for those who are actively seeking employment and may not have the financial means to pay such fees. I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences. Has anyone found a platform or method that genuinely helps without these exorbitant charges? #JobSearch #JobHunting #Employment #JobSeekers #CareerAdvice #RedFlags #MetalHealth
