Writing a manual was the best thing I ever did! This is 1 of the principles in the book E-myth Mastery by Michael Gerber, which outlines how you can scale your business. When I was operating tournaments at eSport.dk, I wrote a handbook with every single task. The handbook added up to over 50 pages with images describing from start to end how to operate the tournaments. As a team, we could focus more on improving our workflow and developing the product. We went from working in our own tournament silos to merging into 1 united organization. It enabled us to deliver a consistent output, a structured focus on our initiatives, and a mutual foundation to execute tasks and train new volunteers. And the result? Our amateur tournament increased by 1.5 times in participants. The principle of the manual in E-myth Mastery is to write down every single task, exactly how you do it, and how you say it. The manual becomes a tool to hand over knowledge to new employees. Fun fact: We always joked with new volunteers that they had 1 day to read the handbook, which resulted in 1 guy reading the entire handbook 😂 What book have you read that provided you with a ton of value? #Books #knowledge #businessgrowth #esports
