Outreach! Outreach! Outreach! As a full-cycle Recruiter, a significant part of my job is sourcing for passive candidates. We do not wait for only inbounds over here. We go out and hunt! I have met a lot of awesome candidates and peers by simply just reaching out to them on LinkedIn. I placed one of such candidates with one of our clients last month. The beautiful Thank You email she sent me after she got the offer made my day! So, beautiful things can happen from making the first move. I have had some scary stories to tell 😩but the worst thing that can happen is getting a ”No“ or being ignored. Get your Nos and keep it moving. PS: If a recruiter reaches out to you for an opportunity and you're not interested, it also does not hurt to refer a friend you believe could be a great fit as well.
