The Art of Unwinding: Easing Into the the Next Phase
It’s here. Outside, it’s a peaceful snowy day. Inside, the fireplace crackles, casting a warm glow that feels like a hug for the soul. As we settle into the start of the next season, there’s a sense of calm—a pause before the beautiful chaos of the holiday season begins.
In both personal life and work life, we often feel the pull to do more, be more, achieve more. But today, I’m reminded that slowing down is just as important as speeding up. Take the weekend to do slow it down.
It’s in these moments of intentional rest that we recharge, rediscover clarity, and prepare to show up—whether for our families, our teams, or the careers we’re building.
The holiday season has a way of pulling us in many directions, personally and professionally as Q4 comes to a close, but slowing down is just as important as speeding up.
It’s in these quiet spaces, surrounded by warmth and love, that we find the energy to fully embrace what’s to come, and often, where we optimize productivity and fuel our best work. Get yourself ready for it.
A gentle reminder to make time for yourself as the season begins. Light a fire, take a walk in the snow, or simply sit with a cup of tea and soak in the present, read a book. Unwinding isn’t just about rest—it’s about creating space to truly connect with those who matter most, including yourself.
Tonight, it’s the orchestra with our girls, a magical experience to share as a family. This weekend? A restful one, as we prepare to welcome loved ones traveling in for Thanksgiving. That’s it.
Wishing you all a weekend filled with calm, warmth, connection, and joy.
