The power of Passion I discovered that art isn't just about creating something beautiful—it's a journey of self-discovery and healing. What started as a simple hobby became my lifeline, a way to understand myself deeper. Whether you're dealing with stress or seeking emotional release, art can be your sanctuary. Each brushstroke becomes a form of self-love, expressing emotions too complex for words. Anyone can find solace in creativity, regardless of artistic skill. It's not about perfection, but about expression. My canvas is a safe space where I explore feelings, heal wounds, and celebrate growth. Art transforms our inner landscape, offering a powerful path to self-compassion. When I create, I'm not judging my work but listening to my inner voice. It's a way to see myself with kindness and understanding. Through art, I've learned that passion isn't about skill—it's about connection. It invites us to explore our emotions, heal, and love ourselves exactly as we are. So add some colors ...some strokes... -- to that blank paper. #selflove #art #paint #doodle

Why Do I Create Art? From a young age, I’ve felt a pull towards something greater—a quiet yet persistent voice from my higher self guiding me towards expression through painting, drawing, and creating anything that brings a visual into reality. This voice has revealed a profound truth to me: in a world so filled with noise, the deeper messages, the whispers of the soul, are often drowned out. To be heard, to truly connect, I needed to change my approach—I needed to create visuals that activate consciousness. Art has become my sacred language, a way to communicate directly with the spirit, bypassing the chaos of words and the distractions of everyday life. Through colors, forms, and symbols, I am able to convey messages that resonate on a deeper level, touching places that words cannot reach. I have always known that I am here to shift consciousness. This calling has been my compass, guiding me through a journey rich with deep experiences, moments of profound insight, and times of intense transformation. Each piece of art I create is not just a visual—you are stepping into a portal, a space where the noise of the world fades away and the voice of your own higher self can be heard. It’s a space of connection, of understanding, and of expansion. My process is deeply intuitive. Each piece begins with a message that I receive in moments of stillness or meditation. Sometimes, it’s a vision, other times it’s a subtle nudge, an idea that takes root and grows within me until it must be expressed. I allow the art to unfold organically, trusting that the colors and forms that emerge are exactly what is needed to communicate the message at hand. The end result is always something that feels alive, resonant, and imbued with the energy of its own creation. I invite you to journey with me through my art. Whether you are seeking connection, insight, or simply a moment of stillness in a noisy world, I believe that there is something here for you. Each piece is not just a visual experience, but a gateway to deeper understanding and consciousness. Thank you for being a part of this journey with me. Together, through these visuals, we are shifting consciousness, one piece at a time. You can find more art work on my website - https://lnkd.in/gSVA_CdC

🖌️ Did you know that engaging in art can significantly enhance emotional well-being? Art isn’t just about creating beautiful visuals — it’s a powerful tool for emotional expression and healing. When we engage in creative activities, we tap into an outlet that allows us to express our innermost feelings, thoughts, and experiences in ways that words alone often cannot. Whether it’s drawing, painting, sculpting, or any other form of creative expression, art helps us navigate the complexities of our emotions, reduce stress, and increase our emotional resilience. 🌈 Expressing feelings through creativity not only reduces stress but also helps us understand and process our emotions better. Art serves as a safe space to explore and reflect on emotions that might be difficult to articulate. When we give ourselves the freedom to create without judgment, we often uncover insights and release pent-up emotions that might otherwise go unaddressed. It's a therapeutic process that offers both a sense of relief and clarity. For many, engaging in art is a form of self-care, a way to center themselves and find balance amidst life's challenges. 🎨 Let’s celebrate the beauty of creativity! Creativity isn’t limited to artists — it’s a resource that belongs to everyone. Whether you’re a therapist incorporating art into your practice, an educator using art to build emotional intelligence, or simply someone using creativity as a tool for self-expression, art has the power to connect us with ourselves and others in meaningful ways. ✨ How has art helped you or your clients express their feelings? I’d love to hear your stories and experiences! Whether it’s through art therapy, personal creativity, or creative workshops, share how the process of creating has helped you or those you work with navigate their emotions, find healing, or simply improve their emotional well-being. Your stories might inspire others to explore the therapeutic power of creativity too! #ArtInTherapy #EmotionalWellness #CreativeHealing #MentalHealthMatters #ArtAsHealing #SelfExpression #MindfulCreativity

I made this a couple of weeks ago as part of my daily practice. And here's the thing- I'm showing it to you upside down. When I made this, it was flipped around. When I finished, I spent some time looking at it, noticing, observing. Then I turned it around to this perspective and an image jumped off the page. And that's the magic of art - it becomes what it needs to be. When you make any kind art, you express yourself in ways beyond words. New information and perspectives emerge, sometimes surprising you. What do you see when you look at this? What do you notice? There is no wrong or right answer, by the way. What you see is what you see. And what I see is what I will spend some time with. Life is like art. Sometimes we need to change our perspective to see something more clearly. We need to look up or lie down and use our new visual angles to discover what we might have been missing. Does this resonate? Let me know. And make some art! You might just be surprised at what comes out of it. #creativeexpression #art #perspective

There’s a difference between knowing exactly what you want to create and allowing the process to guide you. When you follow a set plan, you're a craftsman. But when you begin with curiosity, you open yourself to becoming an artist. Artists don’t just follow steps—they explore possibilities. They ask questions, push boundaries, and let the surprises along the way shape their work. This journey of discovery often leads to innovation and the expansion of what’s possible. The work of an artist isn’t confined to a formula. It’s about allowing the unknown to inspire you, letting every unexpected turn add depth to what you create. It’s in this exploration that true art is born. Whether you’re a craftsman or an artist depends on how you approach your work. Mastery comes from dedication, but creativity comes from embracing the journey. Let the questions guide you and the process surprise you. 🚨Check the link in the bio. #artofdiscovery #workofanartist #embracetheunknown #masteryourcraft #innovationthroughart #craftsmanvsartist #artisticprocess #creativejourney #explorepossibilities #curiositydrivescreativity #artinprogress #creativemindset

Creating art can feel like a lot of pressure. It's nice to be in the right mood and have a lot of time to spend. There are a host of reasons, even if we are planning on taking time for it, that the plan goes awry. The thing about art, though, is that it will wait for you, and it doesn't take much. Creativity, no matter your belief system around your own ability and experience, is inherent in every human. Everyone has the tools and the mind to be able to create art. Art can be a few minutes of scribbles. Art can be coloring in a coloring book. Art can be finishing a painting, or taking 5 minutes to move a creative project forward. Art can be mixing colors and the learning that comes from that. Art can be practicing the perfect circle. There are plenty of reasons why we can think other things are more important. Sometimes other things absolutely are. But the benefits of art are worth making time for. Did you know that even just a few minutes of scribbling can balance cortisol, increase alpha brain waves and oxygen absorption? This is powerful stuff that floods our body with beneficial chemicals and processes. If we look at it as medicine (as it absolutely is in truth), does that change the prioritization structure to you? I encourage you to make some art tonight. Scribble out your emotions, fill a page with your favorite color. "Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working." - Pablo Picasso The "work" of art is very simple. Keep the pencil going. Keep the brush going. Paint in your mind. If you are seeking it, it will meet you halfway. Take your medicine. Make some art. My name is Shelley Irish. I am a professional artist and certified therapeutic arts coach. I teach traditional and healing through art classes and offer an intensive coaching program called Mindset Magician. I help people release the things that bog us down in life so that we can reengage with our playful selves and connect to inspiration. Check out my classes and programs on shelleyirish.com. Some of us never gave our inner artist a chance... Because we believed in someone else's judgement more than in our creative potential.
