We would not be DOCTORS without our HBCUs! HBCUs represent just 3% of colleges and universities in the US, and despite relatively low institutional resources ($$$) HBCUs have the most success in preparing Black students for STEM fields and for medical school success. Even though you often only see the PWIs we graduate from, this is about the HBCUs that got us there. Our HBCU experience is about more than just our education, these institutions helped us develop the identity and strength to make it through our doctorates and medical degrees. More than that, our Black Greek-letter organizations helped us elevate our pride, our voices, our advocacy, and commitment to serve our community, adding to our continued success. We may have not been able to celebrate homecoming at our illustrious HBCUs this year, but we honor and pay homage to HBCUs and our 🔥 homecomings today, tomorrow, and forever.
