Resume Tips from a Recruiter: ▪ Please stop including your driver's license/personal sensitive info when you submit your resume. There are many scams online and you should not ever need to send your personal info to anyone just to get an interview. ▪ Do not put your full address on the top of your resume. (The City, State should be enough). ▪ Choose a clear and easy to read font, in BLACK + within a reasonable size (10pt-12pt font should work for most fonts). ▪ Do not put a summary at the top explaining how desperately you need this position. If you are going to write a "Personal Summary", list off some of your top skills that relate to the role, highlight some achievements, maybe mention a goal you are hoping to achieve within your career goals. That's it! ▪ Always be sure you are submitting an updated/detailed resume with recent and accurate work experience. ▪ Make sure you have any certifications/licensing/special training listed on your resume. ▪ Be sure to put your resume everywhere, do not wait for a recruiter to reach out to you. (LinkedIn, Facebook, Monster, Twitter, etc). Wherever you can, the more places the better & easier it is fora recruiter to find you & reach out. ▪ When editing/saving your resume, make sure you keep it somewhere you can easily update and access it. Also make sure you export it as both a PDF and Word Doc in case someone's computer does not support one or the other. Hope this helps!!!
