The holiday season can be grueling. Sure its colorful lights, the season of giving and being grateful. But the calendar gets full REALLY fast and it can feel like a merry-go-round. The last few weeks multiple things landed on my calendar and I was eager to say yes to EVERYTHING! I struggled and juggled one November evening with a client dinner and a later event. My mind toggled whether to do both or bail. The client dinner was priority and scheduled early – plenty of time to mix and mingle and even get dessert. As I left Eataly I thought should I just go home? To my warm comfy house? Nobody would miss me if I didn’t show up. OR do I push on to the next evening tour stop? I decided to honor my commitment hopping a cab to the stunning EY offices to attend the 50/50 Women on Boards event focused on accelerating #gender balance and #diversity on corporate boards. I walked in and immediately caught eyes with Jennifer Mack and Amber Chenevert, PhD. We exchanged big smiles and I knew I had made the right choice. I learned so much from a room full of smarties and left with two pages of notes and 23 new LinkedIn connects. Some other holiday highlights for me: ✨As I raced for my yellow taxi I looked up and caught this beautiful vision of the Occulus and Freedom Tower. ✨Our VML holiday party was EPIC and done soooo right. Casino night. Wow! I played Black Jack and now have a good sense of who the high rollers are! Still unsure how Kristina Militar got all her💰! #weareVML ✨Celebrated with the best #media team in the biz. Okna Freeman always delivers a great group selfie. ✨We dedicated a conference room to the amazing Dot Giannone. A great gathering and warm stories were exchanged with a heartfelt ribbon cutting by Tasha Gilroy and Danielle Honrath. #legend #inspiration ✨I got to hug Frank Cavazzini IRL as he spent his last day in the office and had the best visit with Julia Marie Gschwendtner. ✨Had a proper send off for a great client as she relocates to Amsterdam while admiring a peacock feathered #Christmas tree. And a great connect with clients/friends ahead of the holiday mayhem.
