Once again, the mantra I heard all the time at eBay has been proven true: People are basically good. I am so grateful for the wonderful support of my network. So very lucky to have people in my corner willing to reach out and do what they can to help. Kindness truly goes a long way!

I've been asked by soooo many people, "What is your USP?" After I googled it... 🤪 I realized something.... I didn't know how to articulate what made me special❗️❗️ Me: "Um, me? I am what is special??" Them: "yeah..... that isn't the answer...." Me: 😩 After dozens and dozenssss of networking calls, initial calls, sales calls, client calls, etc.... I could proudly say, "I still don't know my USP!" Turns out - the people around me KNEW, though! "Cassie, YOU are so different than anyone else I have ever spoken to (or worked with)" Me: "What do you mean? How so?" ↳ "It is soooo obvious you genuinely care. That is rare these days." ↳ "Your energy is contagious and infectious. I just love it." ↳ "I feel so comfortable around you, and I just met you." ↳ "You get me. Like really get me. Between being a prior therapist and have worked in this space, what you bring to the table is so unique." Me: 🥹 Turns out, I was right after all! 😆 "I am my own USP." But my answer is better articulated these days. "My experience as a therapist for over a decade, working with the addicted population, combined with my deep knowledge and understanding of the business world, allows me to help others in this space in a way no one else can." The two worlds I set out to marry, are the exact reason I am different than almost every single coach or consultant out there. I know PEOPLE and BUSINESS. I have worked with TOXICITY and those RESISTANT to change. I have helped many hundreds of people NAVIGATE the complexity of life (and business) to achieve HAPPINESS and OWNERSHIP of their lives. And, I think that's pretty cool 😎 Thank you to everyone around me that has supported me, encouraged me, and especially those who have challenged me!! With Deep Gratitude, Cassie PS. What is unique about you?

The Art of Saying Thanks What's amazed me over the years is the diminishing of giving or receiving a simple thank you. Whatever you do in your life involves some level of transaction. This doesn't matter if you're working or retired. You're always either buying or selling. I recently bought some headphones. Did this quickly online the other day as I needed them as my current ones broke. When I opened the metal case, I found this note and I was surprised not at the note itself, but the fact I was thanked on the spot. Why? It rarely happens. These are good headphones. This company though set themselves apart by this one simple thoughtful gesture. Take the time to thank those that have done something for you. Even better, thank them when you've also done something for them. It's a simple habit that pays dividends (and yes I will buy from the company again because of this note).

HAPPY SUNDAY! A great friend used to say... "Always be thankful for even the small details" I think... Gratitude towards those who have supported us from the beginning is essential. It is an act of recognition and appreciation for their unconditional support. ☆Those people have been my pillars on LinkedIn in different ways. They gave me words of... ✩encouragement at the right moments. ☆Someone's ability to say the right thing at the right time is a true gift. They gave me... ✩constructive suggestions for my growth. ☆Those pieces of advice are like lighthouses that guide us and help us be the best version of ourselves. They always pushed me... ✩forward, those people are invaluable treasures. They were present in... ✩the good times, but also in the storms. They cleared my doubts... ☆These detailed explanations opened doors to new knowledge and perspectives. ✩For me it is a true act of patience and generosity. •Those who have been kind to us and helped us deserve to be remembered and appreciated. •These people are the ones who make the world a better place with their gestures and support. •Doing good without expecting anything in return reflects true kindness and empathy. •These selfless actions can have a profound impact on the lives of others and our own. +++Thank you for being there! Patricia A.

I did it for the T shirt. 100%. That's what motivated me. Our motives for why we do what we do Can hide under the surface of our behaviors → We take a position to be done with the job search → Want that promotion for the prestige or status → Say we want impact as a gentler way for wanting power Whatever it is, keep it clean to: 𝗧𝗮𝗽 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀: Fostering an understanding of patterns, and areas for growth. 𝗔𝘃𝗼𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘁: As you're less likely to engage in the drain that doesn't serve your long-term interests. 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: Knowing your motives keeps you motivated and committed to your path. While I did this mountain 10 miler for the groovy T shirt The experience exceeded my every expectation. Much of that came from LinkedIn love and support Thank you for all for the texts, calls, comments and high fives!!! What's been a real, underlying motivation for something you've done? IT Professional with 20+ years experience in end user technology. If you can use it, I can make it work.
I would like to start with a big THANK YOU to everyone who has sent a message of support and encouragement. The power of networking and good people skills should never be underestimated and I’ll remember that for sure. I’ll be quite honest and tell you that in any circumstance, being told in the first week of a new year that your company is going into liquidation and that you’re unemployed effective immediately with no notice and no payout is a massive blow. And as a neurodiverse employee, it’s hit me especially hard, it’s feels like a grieving process, with a helping of self-doubt, numbness, etc. I won’t bore you with this because your imagination can fill in the blanks. My takeaway so far is that I’m feeling supported and blessed with the network of friends, colleagues and even strangers who have reached out and reminded me of the contribution I have made in the past and am capable of, the value that I bring to a business and individuals because I CARE. I care not only just about the job I’m paid for, but the people I work with, the common goal and our combined effort to make that goal a reality. In every position I’ve held, I’ve made an effort to connect with people, whether you work in the mailroom or run the company, because every interaction has the power to make someone’s day better. And the best thing about it? IT’S FREE! You can make a positive impact to someone’s day, simply by giving them a smile, saying hello, listening to their response after a cursory “Hi, how are you?” or even something as powerful as simply making someone feel SEEN. Acknowledgement doesn’t need ceremony, it just needs a nod, a smile, a kind word. I see you. We are all human and our needs are simple. We need to build each other up and be kind. It takes a minute, it costs us nothing but the value it delivers can be immense. ❤️

**Celebrating Kindness on Mr. Sam's Birthday** On this special day, we come together to celebrate the legacy of Mr. Sam Walton, the founder of Walmart, and spread kindness throughout our communities. As we honor his birthday, let us reflect on the values he instilled in us and the importance of kindness in our daily lives. Mr. Sam Walton was not only a visionary entrepreneur but also a firm believer in the power of kindness. He understood that small acts of kindness can have a profound impact on individuals, families, and communities. Today, on his birthday, we have the opportunity to carry forward his legacy by embracing kindness in all that we do. Kindness has the power to create a positive ripple effect. When we show kindness to others, it not only brightens their day but also inspires them to pay it forward. Kindness should not be limited to our personal lives. It is equally important to foster a culture of kindness in the workplace. By treating our colleagues with respect, empathy, and compassion, we can create a positive and supportive work environment. Let us remember that small acts of kindness can go a long way in building strong and cohesive teams. As we celebrate Mr. Sam's birthday, let us honor his legacy by embracing kindness in all aspects of our lives. Together, we can make a difference and create a world where kindness is the norm. So, let's spread kindness, one act at a time, and make every day a kindness day. #spreadkindness #Kindness

🌟 Finding Silver Linings 🌟 After 12+ incredible years at VMware, my journey took an unexpected turn when Broadcom acquired the company. It felt like being asked to "take out the trash when you're leaving" – a bit abrupt, but I understand it's just part of the business. However, amidst the uncertainty, I've found myself embracing new opportunities and experiences. Here's a glimpse into what the post-layoff period has brought into my life: 💪 Prioritizing Health: I decided to invest in myself and signed up with a personal trainer. The result? I've been hitting the gym nearly every day and feeling healthier than ever before. 📚 Embracing Learning: With more time on my hands, I dove into books on leadership, coaching, and personal motivation. It's been an enlightening journey of self-discovery and growth. 🤔 Reflecting on Values and Goals: This transition has allowed me to pause and reflect on what truly matters to me and where I see myself heading in the future. It's been a valuable period of introspection. 🤝 Empathy for Others: I've gained a newfound respect for others facing similar situations. In today's challenging job market, with economic regression and global uncertainties like the conflict in Ukraine, it's more important than ever to support one another. 🎓 Learning from Experience: The job hunt has been a learning curve in itself. From countless interviews to preparation sessions, I've gained invaluable insights and skills along the way. In the end, I'm reminded of the saying, "Something good always comes from something bad." I'm eagerly looking forward to what the future holds and the opportunities that await. Thank you to everyone who has supported me through this journey. Your encouragement means the world to me. I could end this by thanking everyone building by best career move ever at VMware.. but all of you already know how much of a family you already are and will aways be in my heart! ❤️
