I recently moved from the US to the UK for work. Positive things I’ve noticed about UK corporate culture... 1) Work-Life Balance & Time Off ⏰ This is taken very seriously in the UK Taking time off is actually encouraged There is no pressure to work on days off I can probably recall once in my 7-year career where I’ve taken a whole week off 😅 2) Community Vibes 🫶🏻 Colleagues hang out after work There’s more of a communal vibe in the office I made so many of my closest friends from work When you spend the majority of your time at work, this is super important 🙌🏻 3) Commitment to Mental Health 🧠 Mental health is significantly prioritised Awareness. Events. Initiatives - you name it! You can even go on mental health leave if you need it. No job is worth sacrificing your mental health, and it’s great to see employers reaffirming this 🤝 - - - Other honourable mentions… 🚊 Transportation ↳This is way better in the UK ↳Is it only me who loves the tube? 😅 🏥 Healthcare ↳I appreciate the UK healthcare system ↳We pay A LOT for average healthcare in the US 💸 Cost of Living ↳As someone who’s lived in both countries… ↳The UK is still relatively affordable...controversial? 🤔 I think we have it good in the UK in my opinion 🤝 So, with that being said, check out some live UK internship & grad jobs here: https://lnkd.in/e6d7qxiT ☺️ Follow me → Jennica for application tips, career resources & anything in between 🔔

As a tourist, I can definitely say that US transport is a lot worse. NY subway, for example, is terrible.

The UK definitely isn't perfect but we do have it pretty good in many areas. It's lovely to see someone talking positively the UK for once 😊
