CPA CEO driving innovation and growth in New Brunswick

I am very excited for this evening of celbration.

Please join us at the Wu Conference Centre on November 25th from 5-7 pm to celebrate the life of Brian Flood (1961-2024).   A panel of Brian Flood’s past Q1Labs colleagues will share personal stories about his entrepreneurial journey. As a proud New Brunswicker, one of his biggest accomplishments that helped put New Brunswick on the map was the creation of Q1 Labs in 2001. At that time Brian became the business founder and CEO of the tech start-up, that over a period of ten years, grew to employ hundreds of New Brunswickers. Brian’s perseverance and positive attitude were hallmarks of his life, which allowed him to excel in both athletics and business. Brian's legacy includes his induction into both the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame and the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame in 2017.   Beyond his professional achievements, Brian was a devoted family man. Brian is survived by his loving wife Carolyn (Demers), his daughters Dr. Brittany Flood (Daniel MacLellan,) and Dr. Meghan Flood (Jakub Bundil), and his 4 granddaughters (Quinn and Bree MacLellan, and Mica and Alexis Bundil), as well as his brother, sisters and several other family members.   To register to attend the tribute please go to: https://lnkd.in/gH6wFFEM

Thank you so much for posting this Jeff! If not, I wouldn’t have even known. Request someone to read this at the event, please! Wow Brian, you left everyone surprised here too! I first met Brian more than 20 years ago at UNB Saint John MBA Program where he came in as a guest-speaker. Honestly, I do not remember what the "topic" given to him was to speak on. But what I do is that he spoke a lot! He spoke with passion, he spoke with belief! A maverick, perhaps.... I then had the pleasure of interning with him and later I became his second employee after Patricia Saunders. He gave me an opportunity like none others. Unlike a role when your scope is predefined, with Brian I was wearing a different hat each day of the week. Shuttling in an out of project management, product development, investor relationship management, budgeting and finance, marketing and my favourite function, Business Development. It was an alternate MBA on steroids, life as seen by the eyes of an "Entrepreneur ". Thank you Brian. You will always be my first. 😊
