It is interesting how we often find ourselves emulating certain behaviors and trends. For instance, consider the sit-ins on college campuses, originating at one university and subsequently spreading rapidly to numerous others. We all aspire to be unique individuals, but the truth is that we invariably imitate certain attributes of others. However, there is value in aspiring to imitate the virtues of Jesus. By emulating Christ, we endeavor to uphold what is righteous, just, and good. While we may not achieve perfection in this pursuit, we must persevere, relying on the guidance of Jesus and striving for goodness while rejecting evil. It is in goodness that we find our connection to God.

💧💦MORNiNG DEW💦💧 TOPIC: Revere God. TEXT: Job 4:6 [6] Doesn’t your reverence for God give you confidence? (NLT) 📘NOTE📘 ✍️ Reverence for God (the fear of God) on the part of man has diverse profit attached to it. ✍️ One of these profit is that, it gives us confidence in whatever we do. ✍️ The reference scripture for today is asking a very intriguing question, thus, doesn’t your reverence for God give you confidence? ✍️ It is absolutely an error to render sincere reverence to God and still live/do things in fear. The truth is, if you truly reverence God, you will ensure the right thing is always done in the right way at the right time. ✍️ The confidence we attain from our reverence to God is predicated on the platform of the wisdom the fear of God gives us (Proverbs 1:7). ✍️ This wisdom place us in the better position of overcoming any scheme of our adversary because the wisdom is better than strength (Ecclesiastes 9:16). ✍️ Beloved, I entreat you to continue to revere God in all facet of your life for it is very important and profiting. PRAYER: God bless you in the name of Jesus Christ.

James also appealed for a faith that demonstrates its righteousness before others. Faith that never produces additional evidence is not credible. Faith can show its reality before others only by unselfish deeds of commitment and helpfulness. We live in an age when many people limit faith to the mere verbal affirmation of “I believe.” James’s timely warnings remind us that people who have correct beliefs and an empty life are quite deceived. They must have a faith that produces visible evidence of commitment to Jesus Christ. 1. Read James 2:14 again. What connections can you see between this verse and what James has said so far in the epistle? 2. Summarize in your own words the version of ‘faith’ James is criticizing in 2:14–19. How does it compare to true faith? 3. In your own words, what exactly does James mean when he says ‘his (Abraham’s) faith was made complete by what he did’ (verse 22)? 4. Read Ephesians 2:8–10. What response would you give to the charge that James 2:24 contradicts the teaching of Paul? 5. How would you describe the purpose of 2:20–26 within the epistle of James as a whole?

💧💦MORNiNG DEW💦💧 TOPIC: You are not an afterthought.(Part I) TEXT: Jeremiah 1:4-5 NLT [4] The lord gave me this message: [5] “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.” 📘NOTE📘 ✍️ Beloved, I bring to you this morning brief truths about your uniqueness from God's perspective owing to how your original architecture was formulated in God's intention. ✍️ Your ability to ascertain and imbibe these truths will foster a positive sense of self esteem and confidence, which will harness your divine potentials for the glory and service of God and benefit of humanity. ✍️ In accordance to God's plan for your life, you are not an afterthought. The following are the reasons; (1) You were known before you were formed. - This implies that, your formation in the womb of your mother was preceded by a careful consideration of the intricate faculties of your entirety. - How you will look like? Who you will be? What you will be? Where you will be?, these were all taken care of by God before He initiated your formation in your mother's womb. ✍️ Therefore, never in your lifetime belittle or look down on yourself that you are nobody. ✍️ God in His fullness as the supreme one, took time to know you before He formed you. PRAYER: Receive the grace to remain positive about yourself irrespective of your current state in the name of Jesus Christ.

(I once used to work hard seeking to earn God's favor, when I finally surrendered my heart to Jesus, I realized He had lavished His favor on me already, that I didn't need to earn anything, that I couldn't actually earn His favor, it was free or I didn't get it. Jesus + nothing = Everything! Jesus + anything = Nothing! Praying we all soak up His goodness this day so that He can wring us out on a world in need and refill again to overflowing! In Christ, MH) The Unheeded Secret My kingdom is not of this world. John 18:36 The great enemy to the Lord Jesus Christ in the present day is the conception of practical work that has not come from the New Testament, but from the Systems of the world in which endless energy and activities are insisted upon, but no private life with God. The emphasis is put on the wrong thing. Jesus said, “The kingdom of God cometh not with observation;…for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you,” a hidden, obscure thing. An active Christian worker too often lives in the shop window. It is the innermost of the innermost that reveals the power of the life. We have to get rid of the plague of the spirit of the religious age in which we live. In Our Lord’s life there was none of the press and rush of tremendous activity that we regard so highly, and the disciple is to be as His Master. The central thing about the kingdom of Jesus Christ is a personal relationship to Himself, not public usefulness to men. It is not its practical activities that are the strength of this Bible Training College, its whole strength lies in the fact that here you are put into soak before God. You have no idea of where God is going to engineer your circumstances, no knowledge of what strain is going to be put on you either at home or abroad, and if you waste your time in over-active energies instead of getting into soak on the great fundamental truths of God’s Redemption, you will snap when the strain comes; but if this time of soaking before God is being spent in getting rooted and grounded in God on the un-practical line, you will remain true to Him whatever happens. --Oswald Chambers

Not By Might Nor By Power By Oswald Chambers My speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power… —1 Corinthians 2:4 If in preaching the gospel you substitute your knowledge of the way of salvation for confidence in the power of the gospel, you hinder people from getting to reality. Take care to see while you proclaim your knowledge of the way of salvation, that you yourself are rooted and grounded by faith in God. Never rely on the clearness of your presentation, but as you give your explanation make sure that you are relying on the Holy Spirit. Rely on the certainty of God’s redemptive power, and He will create His own life in people. Once you are rooted in reality, nothing can shake you. If your faith is in experiences, anything that happens is likely to upset that faith. But nothing can ever change God or the reality of redemption. Base your faith on that, and you are as eternally secure as God Himself. Once you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, you will never be moved again. That is the meaning of sanctification. God disapproves of our human efforts to cling to the concept that sanctification is merely an experience, while forgetting that even our sanctification must also be sanctified (see John 17:19). I must deliberately give my sanctified life to God for His service, so that He can use me as His hands and His feet. Wisdom from Oswald Beware of bartering the Word of God for a more suitable conception of your own. Disciples Indeed, 386 R https://lnkd.in/gcHUGQCD

This verse is a profound reminder of our identity and purpose in Christ. First, it declares that we are God's workmanship, His masterpiece. The Creator of the universe intricately designed each of us with intentionality and care. You are not an accident or an afterthought but a reflection of God's creativity and love. Paul continues, emphasizing that we are "created in Christ Jesus." This new creation happens through faith in Jesus, where our old selves, burdened by sin, are made new. Through this transformation, we are equipped and called to good works—not as a means of earning salvation but as an outflow of it. These good works are not random acts of kindness or self-generated efforts. God has prepared them beforehand, weaving them into the fabric of His eternal plan. Our role is to walk in them, living daily in obedience and trust. Reflect on this truth: God has already mapped out opportunities for you to glorify Him, serve others, and grow in faith. Ask Him today to reveal those moments, and step forward with confidence, knowing that His Spirit empowers you to fulfill the good works He has planned. Embrace your purpose as His masterpiece, created to reflect His glory.

Today's devotion centers on the contrast between the way of fools and the way of the wise, as depicted in Proverbs 12:15. This verse highlights the tendency of fools to trust in their own understanding. In contrast, the wise are characterized by their willingness to listen to advice and seek counsel. The way of fools is marked by arrogance, self-reliance, and stubbornness. They trust in their own wisdom and reject the guidance and counsel of others, ultimately leading to destruction and folly. In contrast, the way of the wise is characterized by humility, teachability, and a willingness to seek counsel from those who are wise and experienced. As followers of Christ, we are called to walk in the way of the wise. This involves recognizing our own limitations and acknowledging the need for guidance and wisdom from God and others. By listening to advice and seeking counsel, we position ourselves to make decisions that honor God and lead a life of fulfillment and purpose. Let us, therefore, cultivate a heart posture of humility and teachability, always willing to seek wise counsel and listen to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. May we walk in the way of the wise, trusting in God's wisdom above our own understanding. Amen🙏
