Great session with ~40 CMOs this week convened by MMA, to unplug from the news for a few hours and talk about how AI and tech is transforming Marketing and the ways in which brands need to transform how they engage with customers. A few themes: - Value gains are real - examples included 40% productivity gains in copy generation, deeper customer insights resulting in 10x lift in digital engagement, and more. And yet… - …The #1 concern from CMOs in scaling GenAI remains the quality of outputs. And, oh yeah, scaling something new across a large organization is really hard for most even when the business case is a slam dunk. - We talked about a lot of unknowns and how to start preparing for them - from the transformation of SEO to agentic systems that will completely change how brands need to engage with customers to be relevant and differentiated. And how to somehow still be authentic amid all this change. Plenty of big questions remain but always energizing to hear how the innovators are innovating, and to share what we are seeing with our clients as well.
