It was great to host another Generative AI Advanced Research Roadshow recently. With the leadership of Raj Sharma, my collogue Rodrigo Madanes. and I explored a wide range of topics. Opening with a panel on energy use by AI. It was fantastic to talk about energy demands / supply, nuclear energy, and time horizons for standing up more energy supply. Thank you to Charles Oppenheimer and Raj Vohra. Energy is critical to the growth of AI and has long lead times. We then had a panel on the budgets context for AI in 2025, where are we on this journey and how to think about ROI. Panelists were: David Hefter, Blackrock (moderator) Gamiel Gran, Mayfield Fund (Chief Commercial Officer) Emily Reid, AI4ALL (CEO) Tamar Yehoshua, Glean (president of tech and products) I had a fireside chat with Peter Ziebelman about his book “Pattern Breakers”, which he co-wrote with Mike Maples, Jr. Their insights into why some companies breakout and have incredible growth and impact was very valuable. Then we had a panel on the Macro view of AI, basically: Where are we in this cycle? Maybe we’re at the end of beginning? Rodrigo Madanes moderated and there was lively conversation with: Eyal Manor, Squid Cloud (founder/CEO, ex-VP/GM engineering Google cloud) Subha Tatavarti, ex-CTO from Wipro Ted Shelton, Inflection AI COO We concluded with a panel on Agentic frameworks and impact. How could we not talk about Agents?! Our panelists were: Rebecca Finlay, Partnership on AI (CEO) Sri Satish Ambati, H2O.ai (CEO) Matan Grinberg, Factory AI (founder) Looking forward to the next opportunity to bring the community together. #aistrategy #aileadership #VC #entreprenuership
