October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month! 🛡️ Here are 10 high-level steps your company can take to lock down your network and stay ahead of cyber threats: 1. Know Your Assets – Map out everything on your network. You can’t protect what you don’t see! 2. Strong Passwords – Encourage longer passphrases and multi-factor authentication (MFA) to double down on security. 3. Regular Updates – Patch your software and systems. Outdated tech is an open door for hackers. 4. Employee Training – Empower your team to recognize phishing and suspicious activity. 5. Backup Data – Automate regular backups and store them securely, away from the primary network. 6. Limit Access – Give permissions on a need-to-know basis. Less access, less risk! 7. Monitor Activity – Use tools to keep an eye on unusual activity or login attempts. 8. Encrypt Everything – Whether it’s data at rest or in transit, encryption adds an extra layer of protection. 9. Secure BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) – Set policies to keep personal devices in check on your network. 10. Incident Response Plan – Be prepared for the unexpected with a clear plan to respond to threats quickly. Cybersecurity is a team effort—let’s stay vigilant together! 🔐 #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth #InfoSec #NetworkSecurity #CyberSafety
