After years in communication, PR, and journalism, I assumed stepping into marketing would be like starting from scratch—totally new territory, requiring a completely different skill set. But guess what? The deeper I dive into marketing, the clearer it becomes: it’s all beautifully interconnected. In fact, I’m convinced that media and communication pros have a natural edge as marketers. Why? Because at its core, marketing is about nailing the message, knowing your audience like the back of your hand, and creating content that either solves a problem, sparks interest, or drives the impact you (or your client) are after. So, no, this realization didn’t hit me during a casual coffee chat. It’s a genuine aha moment that keeps proving itself every day. Cheers to the power of #storytelling, no matter what we call it! #marketing #communication

#onethingtoknow When you post, you're the expert. The reason is simple. You've thought about something enough to write it down. So be courageous and forge ahead. You get experience only by doing. If you don't ever take that first step, why bother to consume content about improving your media presence?

Valuable advice for firms looking to engage their audience on a deeper level, from Gay Flashman's "Powerful B2B Content": "If you can push through the noise--be clever with your messaging, not just shout the loudest--there is scope for brands to use STORYTELLING AND BRAND JOURNALISM to gain awareness and start the journey to a trust position." (emphasis mine)

🚨 New Video Alert! 🚨 We engaged a little AI assistance (if you can even tell) to produce a video that sums up who we are and what we do—because even PR pros can be camera-averse. 😉 But hey, if you’re curious about when to bring in a little extra PR and content firepower (that’s us), give it a watch. Especially as you're planning your 2025 marketing initiatives. Check it out here: https://lnkd.in/gXcQ542p And if it sparks some questions, reach out. Marketing is storytelling plain and simple. You then take that story and weave it through every aspect of advertising, public relations, and sales. This becomes your marketing campaign. This type of strategic storytelling is what compels people to share it with their people, starting conversations and driving action. Most of what you see online are just posts that don’t take your audience from passive viewer to purchase. This is why your content isn't converting.

My content is terrible So don’t try to tell me I’m enjoying this Because when it comes down to it Social media is a waste of time Nobody engages Nobody cares And I don’t want to hear We all have something to say Cause deep down inside I know What I post is useless And you can’t convince me I will make content that inspires people (Now read bottom up) By Segun Ogunsheye

'Coverage' comes after 'content'. In the dictionary and in PR. When does 'relationship' appear? You're right. It appears after 'content' and 'coverage'. The mantra to receive great PR coverage and build strong media relationship is out in the open now. 👇 Offer great content to receive great coverage. Repeat this process to build strong media relationships. Don't know why people work against it. 🤷♂️ #PublicRelations #Marketing #StrategyVerse
