I’m thrilled to finally announce what I’ve been working on! I’ve teamed up with Gui Cavalcanti to co-found PitPro Automation, the robotic auto repair shop of the future. I’m CEO here at PitPro, and we’re already off to the races with our first employee Miles Pekala. We’re looking to help address the critical labor crisis in the $100+ billion auto repair industry, which is only getting worse as time goes on. We’re starting by automating tire service for fleet vehicles (class 1 & 2 cargo vans, specifically) that are in constant, heavy-duty service and need multiple tire changes a year, like your standard-issue Amazon delivery vans. The past four months have been a rush of activities to get PitPro up and running: * Attending conferences like Fleet Forward and Work Truck Week * Getting trained as a master tire technician instructor by the Tire Industry Association * Designing our first prototype robot (with a constant infusion of coffee and techno on loop) We’re ordering parts for our first robot now, and I’m super excited to talk to both potential fleet customers, and controls engineers + software engineers interested in deploying next-gen automation in real-world environments! Please reach out if you want to learn more! #Automation #Robotics #Auto #Startups #Tire #AutoRepair
Can you share insights into the challenges you've encountered while developing the prototype robot, Jeremy Conrad?
