Tasks vs. Projects There are one and done, tasks, and there are multiple pieces to make up the whole, projects. Spending a few minutes determining how to map out tasks vs. projects can save you time and make you more productive during the week. I spend an hour or so doing tasks during a portion of the day when I know I have an upcoming meeting or only have a bit of time and then block larger portions of my day completing pieces of a whole project. Stop bouncing around like a pinball in a pinball machine and instead get focused on what needs to get done (saying this to myself 😉 multiple times a day lately). Let's seize the day, the week, the month, the year!

Are you thankful for the stage of life you’re at right now? 🔎In my line of work there’s a lot of time looking BACKWARDS and looking FORWARDS 🔙We look BACKWARDS to see: ⚫️Why certain decisions were made ⚫️What strategies have worked well in the past ⚫️ What mistakes have been made that need to be avoided 🔮We look FORWARDS to see: 🟢 Where we want to be as a result of planning 🟢What we want life to look like for heirs 🟢What risks need to be avoided — All that is fine and good…but it’s so important to take time and be thankful for the present! ✅You will NEVER get this stage of life back! ✅These are the good old days you’ll tell your friends about! ✅The value of contentment in the planning process cannot be overstated! ➡️What are you thankful for today?

#Action. On October 30, 2022, in front of 16 challenge lovers, I pledged to support 100 people to find their purpose within a year. 100. Within a few months, at the start of 2023, I worked with 5 groups of about 30 people each. I didn't fulfill my promise. It is no longer a matter of quantity; my lesson is #quality. I'd like to change my commitment to something else. More specifically, I want to support people who dare to make the jump in their career. I know how to strategically make a powerful change to receive fulfillment from a career and to measure the results. Results: 1. A solid and unique #valueproposition that expresses who you are and what you love. 2. A self-sustainable #businessplan that integrates the needs of the world. 3. Assistance in quitting your job (yes, I am on a mission to help you quit). 4. Rapid #validation of results during the transition period, helping you identify what pays, what works, and what doesn't. I'm leading my course locally in Porto - Align Your Career with Who You Are. And I also do 1:1 sessions. Sometimes, it just takes b*llz and a support system to jump. Other times, it takes really deep planning of resources, research, and security. But at all times - it takes action. Here is my #action. PM, comment, or call me; I'm available!

If there’s one thing I’ve learned… It’s that setbacks are simply setups for future success. In every journey—whether personal or professional—there are moments of doubt, frustration, and uncertainty. But it’s how we respond to those moments that defines our path forward. When faced with challenges, I remind myself: 1. Stay Curious: asking “why” but also “why not” opens doors that lead to discovery. 2. Stay Resilient: Perseverance turns barriers into stepping stones. 3. Stay Grateful: Especially the hard days bring invaluable insights and experiences. If you're going through a tough phase, remember, you’re not alone. Wow! Those 4 weeks flew by! 🌪 At the beginning of July, I started a new engagement with Sullivan & Stanley. This time in the very exciting Leisure & Tourism industry. These past weeks have been awesome: 🚀 Getting up to speed: Understanding the organisation, its goals and challenges, and how stuff gets done. 🚀 Collaborating: Working with a fantastic team of S&S legends, internal change agents, and passionate subject matter experts. 🚀 Exploring: Mapping the high-level customer journeys and supporting systems, products & services. I felt like my old self again, doing what I left Shell to do: 💙 Educating people about Mission-Based Working, 💙 Facilitating workshops to guide a cross-functional team toward their goals, 💙 And adding a sprinkle of coaching. Our primary goal was to help the client find the right starting point for their transformation. A journey towards a product operating model and a better way of working. We aimed to find the right first mission to create an impact, drive meaningful results, and act as a catalyst for transformative change. It was an intense 4 weeks as we set an accelerated pace with ambitious goals to achieve in a short space of time. For me personally, it meant a couple of nights a week away from my family too. But the positive comments and excitement made it totally worth it. As we enter peak holiday season for the client, we’ll take a slower pace to prepare for the next phase. 🌱 This is just the beginning! I’m already excited about getting back in a couple of weeks! We'll create an exemplar team with the client to dive into their mission. We’ll delve deeper to help create a roadmap to deliver value and a blueprint for a different way of working over the next 90 days. This Inception period is always my favourite—it’s intense but a lot of fun. Bring it on! 💪

In project management, milestones are the building blocks that keep us on track and measure our success. They act as guideposts, helping us stay focused, accountable, and motivated. Each milestone represents a critical phase in a project, ensuring we’re aligned with our goals and able to celebrate the progress along the way. Much like anniversaries, business milestones remind us of where we started and the dedication it takes to move forward. They aren’t just checkboxes on a timeline; they signify commitment, teamwork, and the resilience needed to see a project through to the finish line.
