🌟 What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned in the past year? 🌟 Last week, we wrapped up our year-end conversations with all the talented individuals in A&A FS. The many insightful dialogues we shared have made me reflect on my first year and a half with Deloitte. This time has been filled with incredible personal and professional growth, and I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with such diverse and brilliant minds. Highlights of My Journey: ✈️ Diverse Perspectives: From my background in aviation and the military to my current role as PMO with a growing focus on ESG, I’ve approached challenges from multiple angles. Combining analysis and strategy with leadership, interpersonal skills, and high-stakes decision-making has allowed me to challenge the status quo, where true innovation often begins. 🌱 ESG: Building Something Unique: The opportunity to grow within ESG, a rapidly evolving field, is especially meaningful to me. I believe ESG has the potential to shape a future where sustainability is deeply embedded in business strategy—not just treated as an add-on. 🤝 Collaboration and Talent: I’ve had the privilege of working with some of the most passionate and talented individuals in the industry. Their dedication and hard work inspire me every day. 💼 Clients & Impact: Collaborating with clients to drive meaningful change has been incredibly rewarding. 🌍 Unpacking the Global Consulting Landscape 🌍 The consulting industry is a fascinating ecosystem, driven by innovation, expertise, and strategic impact. What stands out most to me is how a relatively small group of firms—just the top 20—wields tremendous influence. These firms, representing giants like Accenture, Deloitte, and PwC, dominate nearly 50% of the global consulting market, showcasing their stronghold on strategy, operations, and digital transformation consulting. Interestingly, these firms manage to generate twice as much revenue per consultant compared to smaller firms, a clear testament to their efficiency and scale. Yet, despite their dominance, these top companies only employ one-third of the entire consulting workforce—leaving room for innovation and disruption by smaller players and boutique consultancies. As someone who is eager to break into the world of consulting, these figures inspire me to learn from the best while staying open to the diverse opportunities available in the broader consulting landscape.
