One thing I swore I’d do differently. Everything. Look one of the perks of starting your own brokerage is getting to change the things that you didn’t always align with. And that was a big one for me. I was unwilling to compromise on my values. And didn’t like how some brokers along the way handled situations. I vowed to be different and do it my own way. Our team structure is different than most. And I love that about it. When I think back on what we are known for, how we shaped the client experience I literally get goosebumps with pride. This is one of many client success stories and team success stories of our own, coming together from all walks of life to help one another. ➡️➡️➡️ Have questions about the services we provide and how we can, your next trip around the sun an epic adventure?

What makes us different? 👇 You know the saying - you don't know what you don't know? Well, we didn't know that not all brokerages were like ours! 😅 The brokerage business is competitive. The real estate industry is competitive. But competitive doesn't have mean it's "dog eat dog" I can't tell you how many agents I've interviewed that have joined us - who go out of their way to tell us how collaborative our culture is. Our agents celebrate one another. They help each other. They cheer each other on! You just don't get that everywhere. What makes us different? We care! My management team cares. Our support staff cares. Our agents - CARE! Culture isn't a switch you can flip; it's created by the people you bring together And WE have the BEST people! 🙌 #royallepage #torontobrokerages #durhambrokerages #realestatetips #torontorealtors

The Power of Professional Boundaries As business owners, we face a wide range of challenges, and sometimes, those challenges involve making tough decisions to protect the integrity of our business. Recently, I had to make the difficult choice to disengage from a long-term client relationship. It took me by surprise, but it was necessary in order to maintain the standards and values that are at the core of my business. Here’s what this experience reinforced for me: Value Your Expertise: Every service we provide holds value, and it’s essential to ensure that this value is recognized and respected. Fair compensation is not just about money; it’s about acknowledging the expertise and dedication that go into every task. Establish and Maintain Boundaries: Clear boundaries are vital for any successful business. They help create a healthy working environment and ensure that all interactions are based on mutual respect. Uphold Professionalism: Even in challenging situations, staying true to your professional standards is key. This not only protects your business but also strengthens your reputation over time. In the fast-paced world of business, it’s important to remember that not every client relationship will be the right fit. And that’s okay. By setting clear boundaries and knowing when to step back, you create space for the right opportunities to come your way. This week, I encourage fellow business owners and professionals to reflect on the importance of valuing your time, setting boundaries, and maintaining the professionalism that defines your brand. Let’s make this week one of growth, resilience, and dedication to our core values. Wishing everyone a productive and fulfilling week ahead! 💼✨

Anyone care to be vulnerable? Anyone? Bueller? Okay, I'll go. Years ago, I was about six weeks into the business and I was doing my best to learn, produce, and be valuable. A few senior brokers would provide me opportunities to support them and off I would go. My sponsoring broker and I would meet at the end of each week to review what I accomplished, how it helped the firm, how it helped me, and collaborate how I needed to improve moving forward. One particular week, a broker asked me to call a leasing listing and ask if they had space available. The listing broker told me they only had in-line space left. I thanked him and hung up. When it came time to reflect, my broker asked if I called. I told him I had, and we were on the waiting list. A look of confusion came over my broker's face, and he replied curiously, "Waiting list?" I reaffirmed what I said and explained that the listing broker told me the only availability was in-line so I asked him to add us to the list. 🤣🤣🤣 My broker laughed till tears welled up in his eyes. Luckily, he didn't have too much fun at my expense. That was the day I learned the meaning of in-line versus end cap. I've often wondered what the listing broker thought when I told him to add us to the list. I tell that story to highlight two truths. First, I know way more now than I did then, but I still don't know it all and I'm not afraid to admit it. In this industry, omniscience is a myth. If someone ever claims otherwise, tread cautiously. Not knowing doesn't equate to inability. It simply outlines what I need to research, learn, and look into further to better advise my client. Second, the next generation of commercial producers are entering this industry and I believe hearing about my hiccups helps them understand the goal isn't perfection, but rather a persistent pursuit of being better today than yesterday. That's what I aspire to be for my clients and myself daily. That's my not-so-great moment as a newbie to this industry. What's yours? Are you comfortable enough in who you are now, to be vulnerable about what you did way back when? #ThursdayThoughts #Vulnerability #CRE #Brokerage #Persistence #Accountability
