I took the advice of former teammate and all around good guy, Jeffrey Kopra, by taking some time to rip off the band aid and started clearing some snow before it got worse. Also like him, this got me thinking of the similarities between delivering software and clearing snow. I may have only cleared enough to get by for now but sometimes all it takes is an MVP to build on. You could also compare the snow to tech debt building up over time. If it’s not cleared and ignored long enough it will just melt away in the summer. Just kidding about that part.
If you take one person's advice on any given day, Jeffrey Kopra is a good person to choose! ☃️
Totally wish that last part was true!! Looking forward to warmer weather ☀️
Silly Jason. Everyone knows technical debt never goes away. It's stored underground and never discussed, like nuclear waste.
