Is the Healthcare System Corrupted? An excellent #TED talk about #nutrition, #healthcare and #pharma industries. 1. The traditional healthcare system is based on 3rd parties, the #physicians. 2. Our healthcare system is practically sick care activated only when we already have the #symptoms of a #disease. Then the healthcare system mainly treats the symptoms.... This is too late. 3. While medicine treats mainly symptoms of a specific disease, we know that our body and mind are much more complex, multifunctional and the functions are interdependent. In this way focusing on the symptoms of 1 disease or 1 function of our body, we cannot expect solution...... 4. Nutrition is vital for health, especially plant based but not only. Healthy nutrition including the right nutrients in parallel can create miracles. The issue is that various food & drinks corporations and the pharma industry strongly interfere to put it mildly and distort the process. 5. We need to adopt healthy nutrition and wellness practices in younger ages with more attention to education, frequent check ups and sensors to check our biomarkers. Some authors call it Medicine 3.0 and being #preventive & better #wellness focused, can help and even prevent a lot of diseases among others #diabetes 2, #heart diseases and many types of #cancer. Research is on going and every few years new breakthroughs are emerging but nutrition is the key. Based on my own studies and personal experiences with my own health journey, healthy nutrition accompanied from mild exercise, good emotional health and good quality sleep are the key for your longer healthspan, transforming healthcare ownership from 3rd party providers to the #individual.
