Wish you started on a TikTok in 2020? This might be a time similar to that. Let me explain. They just DRASTICUALLY cut the amount a TikToker is getting paid on original content. For the last few years, creators have made TikTok first content in part because of the algorithm, and part because it's where they don paid. But with many creators seeing up to a 90% drop in pay within the first week of changes, they are actively re-platforming to make TikTok a secondary or even tertiary platform. This is where the opportunity comes in: if there is a vacuum created by this exodus will make room for new content creators. TikTok is constantly looking for good content to boost. And most recently, when the TikTok Shop created a vacuum because people were making bad advertisements for their shop, TikTok literally started sharing older and older videos. The best time to start your TikTok is 2020; the second best time might be now.

I HIT 200+ followers on Tiktok yesterday! Why am I celebrating like I just won the Super Bowl you might ask? Well because In my 4 years of content and 5 tiktok channels later (no joke). I’ve never really managed to crack* tiktok. Always getting stuck at 200 views and ironically 200 followers. But since launching The Quarter onto socials I have had a very clear strategy on what I want to accomplish. Share absolutely everything I have learned and am going to learn about editing/creating content. This means: - Create the most in depth content creator course completely for free (target launch date is 1st of May). - Create daily tips on how I try to make my content better. - Share tips on all of the “boring stuff” like payment/contracts/negotiation skills that most creators miss out on. That has resulted in me surpassing my all-time-high in less than 3 weeks. The future is bright! I said I’d make 2024 my b*tch. Thinking about #TikTok content creation? DO NOT start posting on TikTok unless you are prepared to post content 1-3 times a day, every day. So many #brands feel the pressure to be on TikTok as it continues to reign supreme, but the algorithm will not recognize inconsistent accounts. It is better to push out quality, consistent content on one platform than post unengaging or inconsistent content across a lot. You have the power to build your suggested feed on social media ✨ I've been seeing a lot of TikTok comments recently saying things like… “I built this for you page brick by brick” It made me wonder if all TikTok users realise that they are actually shaping their own for you page by interacting with specific content. 🔧🔨 So, I thought I’d delve into more detail on this... 👉 When you interact with certain content on TikTok, it signals to TikTok that you enjoy this type of content and want to see more of it. 👉 As a result, similar content will appear on your for you page. 👉 When you don't interact with certain content, TikTok will show less of that content style on your for you page. PS - This is why I never understood hate comments. Every interaction gives TikTok more reason to show that person's content on your feed again. It's more effective to block content by blocking the creator or clicking ‘not interested’. How could this affect marketers? Since original creators are now prioritized, accounts that repost content from other users will no longer be shown in recommendations.
