Having worked on technology implementation projects across various sectors, the team recognized the opportunity for AI to simplify business processes. Years of building AI implementation projects and workflows prepared them to create ZeroComplex AI. Co-founder Kehinde Olateru highlights the pivot from Crenet to ZeroComplex AI, driven by customer conversations about the impact of AI on businesses. Recognizing that AI integration posed challenges, especially for businesses with existing digital infrastructure, the team decided to create AI workflows tailored to different use cases for businesses of all sizes. This led to the establishment of ZeroComplex AI with the goal of simplifying AI integration for businesses through its specialized AI workflows. In 2023, ZeroComplex AI participated in the Pitch2Win competition, securing the second-place position and capturing the attention of notable figures like Olumide Soyombo, founder of Voltron Capital, who was one of the judges. Demand for AI and defense technology surges, with a large number of new early-stage unicorns emerging in 2024 In 2024, a surge of early-stage unicorn companies is anticipated, driven by advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) and rising geopolitical tensions. A recent KPMG report indicates that financing for AI and defense technology has significantly increased, with the number of companies valued over $1 billion in the first three quarters of 2024 surpassing the total for all of 2023. While venture capital investment in Asia has hit a seven-year low, Japan has seen a resurgence, achieving its highest investment levels in three years. By the third quarter of 2024, early-stage unicorns are predominantly emerging from the AI sector, with many startups reaching unicorn status in their initial funding rounds. Defense technology has also garnered attention; for instance, Anduril Industries raised $1.5 billion in the U.S., while Germany's Helsing secured $484 million. Similarly, China's landscape reveals startups like AutoAI raising substantial funds by implementing AI in vehicles. Despite a global decline in venture capital investment, which dropped 26.6% from $95.5 billion to $70.1 billion, AI continues to lead significant funding rounds, comprising six of the top ten transactions in the third quarter. Approximately 60% of this investment originated from the Americas, totaling around $41.4 billion. Ensure these tools integrate principles that foster ethical AI practices. 3. Involve global actors in the AI Task Force for holistic governance. Specify the roles of diverse stakeholders like academia, civil society, and small-to-medium enterprises. 4. Provide detailed educational recommendations for AI-related curricula and skill development. Include practical approaches such as internships, and industry-academic partnerships. 5. Strategically address concerns in public awareness campaigns and collaborate with influencers. Tailor campaigns to address specific societal concerns and involve influencers to enhance outreach. 6. Engage global HEIs and organize roundtables for continuous collaboration in vital sectors eg climate change, cyber security, energy, education, healthcare etc. Encourage discussions on challenges, opportunities, and potential collaborative projects during these roundtables. 7. Establish a research institute focused on responsible policy integration/adoption, contributing to the ongoing discourse.
