February has been flying by and filled with great opportunities to connect with other #DEI practitioners! Earlier this month, I attended the first MFHA - The Multicultural Foodservice & Hospitality Alliance RoundTable for 2024 in Sandy Springs, GA. Thank you, Kofi Acquaah, for inviting me to the roundtable and introducing me to such a supportive community. (I’m still happy to help address your biases toward #Duke basketball fans for a discount! 🏀 😅 ) In a climate where DEI efforts are met with resistance, this session was a beacon of affirmation and empowerment. I'm filled with gratitude for the invaluable insights shared and the meaningful connections made. Meeting other DEI practitioners and hearing their stories was incredibly validating.
