There is ONE thing everyone in our industry can agree on. Eighty years ago, the International Civil Aviation Organization was formed at a conference in Chicago. ICAO brought together representatives from throughout the aviation business to meet, exchange ideas and agree to always prioritize safety above all else. Today industry leaders – including Airbus – once again gathered in Chicago to celebrate ICAO’s 80th birthday. Since 1944, there have been just a “few” changes to our industry, but safety has remained our top priority. What is so heartening to see is that focus coupled with developments in sustainability. New fuels are instrumental in the charge toward net-zero emissions in 2050, and Airbus is proud to be a leader in that progress.  Congrats to ICAO on this landmark anniversary and thanks too, for playing such a critical role in moving our industry forward. [MEMBER NEWS] Airbus, one of CCIFP members, makes largest aircraft deal in Philippine history with local PH Airline, Cebu Pacific Air 🛩️🌟 Last July 2, 2024, one of CCI France Philippines members, Airbus formalized its record-breaking deal of P1.4 Trillion with the local airline, Cebu Pacific. Based on the signed agreement, the commercial aviation giant is expected to provide a total of 152 planes, including 102 A321 new engine option (neo) aircraft, and 50 A320 neo aircraft. 🙌🏻 The first set of aircraft is expected to be delivered by 2027 and will be completely delivered by late 2035. Though the deal is currently in its preliminary stages, Airbus is expected to close its transaction with Cebu Pacific during the third quarter of the year.
