Week 4 of my internship session JIIPCC was on Comedy, Skits, Digital Content and Content Creators. During the meeting, the mentor Oluwaseyi Arowosebe, LL.M discussed that content creators need to know the following; 📍Content creators need to know their rights in Law so as to be able to act where there is a breach. 📍To monetize their content, content creators should ensure that their content is original and in compliance to the Copyrights Act. 📍Content creators have to get license/permission if they want to use someone else’s work directly or indirectly in their own work. For example, music. 📍Where there are copyright’s infringements, fair use of the intellectual property is an exception. The exception to infringement is where the content creator used the work for research purposes or to educate an audience. 📍The services of lawyers are needed because Lawyers can help to review Agreements and Contracts. They are also in the best position to give legal advice to content creators. Day- 4 of Internship in Creative Strategy at HACA Works done: Submitted the first draft of UGC script for The bear House. Mistakes done: While writing UGC script it mistook as Ad script and try to build a story like for a commercial Ads   Insights: UGC scripts are entirely different from normal script writing.   New Learnings: Structure of UGC scripts and what are the areas we need to focus upon while writing a UGC script.

Jacob’s Experience: “I've been working on a few projects, including professional portfolios, mock interviews, and branding. The storytelling lab operates at a fast and tight pace, which has made my experience intriguing. We attend seminars for approximately two to three days each week to expand our knowledge of various industry-related topics. Among the interesting things I’ve learned was how to promote myself and my brand. The sectors of the entertainment industry that interest me the most are journalism, reporting, and acting.
